@av600va Well, to be fair, WoW is REALLY not heavy. I can play it on my old computer with max settings (it's a 4yo computer).

Also, it looks TERRIBLE in lower settings, so it's interesting to upgrade your machine buying a very cheap 4 yo model if you plan to play a MMO almost every day.

60 FPS is not the highest you can go in most areas when i play in almost full ultra set is around 90-110 fps even in ICC doing a boss, If i go to IF or SW i get a peak of 190 fps. so your thoughs on only getting 60 is BS cause if your only getting max of 60 then you havent tweaked your system and graphic card to its full potential. So yeah 60 FPS is a joke if you dont know what your doing. and also 320 is around the highest you can get. Fps only means how fast your graphic communicates.

If u want high fps, the thing u do is to set ur graphic to 800x whatever..

2 step, u set all of ur effects to low, restart the game, after restart, u set all of ur sound options on the badest quality, restart the game one more time, then it will run smooth like 50-75 fps

@Thek213 With all the new graphic updates not to mention shadows which kill a good percentage of computers alone, it is quickly becoming a game where you may need to look for upgrades to your computer soon. With Cat. coming out it will most likely become far more detailed with multiple animations going on around the character at any given moment. It may not seem like a lot when you aren't looking for it, but there are tons of things in the game that don't have to be there but can cause lag.

Basically, if your computer can run games such as Far Cry 2 on high or very high, then you should have no problem running WoW, provided you don't have something slow like dial-up.

The video card was GForce 2010 and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. So we took it out and used the internal video card (my boyfriend was very unhappy >_<) and bam, it worked perfectly. Just surprising to me.

If what you're talking about is the GTS 210, well that's a pretty obsolete card as it is (only 3 FPS in Crysis with Fraps on). I don't see why the integrated graphics would work better, though. Try contacting the manufacturer.

i did this on my fsx and like the 4th time i did it it screwed up my camsim planes. half of the wings are gone on them. and now it loads exteremely slow. it takes about ten minutes to load everything up and the fps is still the same. can you help me fix this proplem or anyone else that sees this please.

Multicores aren't needed for gaming.

Clock speeds are what (These days) is the most important aspect of a GPU, not video RAM. You can dedicate standard ram to video RAM which is cheap as fuck. Seriously, I have 8 gigs of DDR3 ram and it allows me to have the highest texture quality in every game I own, even Crysis and it doesn't affect my frame rate in the slightest.

P.S: I have an ATI Radeon 4200.

If u have a nvidia card and want more than 60 FPS in wow , the open the nvidia control panel and pick Manage 3D settings.

scroll down when u are on the gobal settings tab, there u see a thing called Vertical sync change it to force off, after that u can go way higher then 60 FPS, after that i go way more than 100 dps ingame
