I'm an american, and american cars suck. The best we have is the ssc ultimate aero, and nobody wants it, because its ugly. More power to the foreign cars! :) I want an STI.
FUCK OFF you American idiot. This is engineering at it's finest and not at all a "rice rocket" you retarded bastard. The GT-R is a 3.8 Litre marvel of technology. Now FUCK OFF back to your truck engines dropped in a sports shell and a blower attached you Big Mac eating, popcorn chomping, one-dimensional butt fucker.
@MrSHIZZLE4u MAN! You foreigners are WHINY little bitches, aren't you? What's wrong? Getting your ass constantly handed to you by us fat, lazy asses with our truck motors getting next to you that bad? Don't blow a gasket over it. Doesn't meditation come from the east, too? Jesus! I think you need to find some zen & get with it. Just let the car stand for itself. If it wins it wins, if it doesn't, you're right where you are now. Hey, 2nd place isn't so bad. Act like you've won before, please. ; )
@drtyfknmouth don't worry to much about this guy, if he would ever realise it, if he is simply calling the american muscle car a vehicle with truck motor, who and where was the first 427 stuck into a small car that was meant for females? he's too ignorant to know the history of fast cars as the fast ones all started by simply having a large displacement engine.
@drtyfknmouth he's just being a foreign bitch that thinks all-americans have bad manners when nearly every foreigner i talk to with decency, they always feel the need to talk shit about americans and continue on and on about us when all i did was ask how was everything going while i was online playing a game. talk about a piss-poor attitude, bad mouth, bad behavior and ill-tempered fucks the lot of them turn out to be
@emilrac100 This automatic transmission can shift faster than any human could possibly think about shifting. Auto trannys have gotten faster and thats why most of the supercars coming out nowadays have auto.
im looking at the comments below me and did someone say the GT-R is unreliable?.. hahahahahahahahahaha lmfao someone doesnt kno about cars.. that reminds me of all the kids saying a Viper or Corvette is a better car.. hahahaha.. someone should really stop being so ignorant and LEARN bout cars.. or how bout just LEARN about GT-R's.. otherwise get out of here wit ur ignorant trash
@ineurodreams You speak of GTR's as unreliable? the car's have barely been around long to assess long term reliability. And don't count Launch Control as unreliability; original setup was too extreme on the tranny; not reliability but a perfomance imbalance. It's been revised, and actually now even quicker.
Launch Control would grenade your 335 to bits! BTW, it's not even needed on track. The real irony here is you own BMW's yet trash other makes reliability...do you see the humor!
@blowbyu24 Yes I do and so is my BMW. They both come from the factory with twin turbos and AWD. The GT-R is better in performance in every aspect, I'll give it that. I just don't want to deal with the maintenance headaches of trying to use it as a daily driver. One would almost need two GT-R's if they wanted to daily drive it and take it to the track.
@ineurodreams Actually the R-mode in the 2012 GTR allows you to use launch control without voiding your warranty. They just ask that after using it 4 times in a row, that you drive it 1.5 miles to cool the systems before you can use it again.
@ineurodreams Nope, not anymore. Because, there is now a new safety that only allows 4 launches in a row before an automatic 1:30sec cool down where its not possible to ingage. YAY!
@ineurodreams Happily, launch control no longer blows up the transmission, or voids the warranty! Nissan just ask that after every 4 launches you drive around a bit to let the whole set up cool down before going again...
@Infamous2000bklyn Nah, I'll take my BMW that has a twin turbo and is AWD over this GT-R for the sole reason that the GT-R is a maintenance nightmare. It's an amazing car, but just not very high on my list of cars to own.
@ineurodreams We had a twin turbo BMW, but it had a lot of issues. So far, our GT-R is flawless; it may be a supercar, but it's still Japanese, and Japanese reliability >> German reliability.
@TLogicM There are a few exceptions, but overall I agree with you. The German cars overall are more of a driver's car and have more of a soul. It all depends on a persons needs and wants.
@TLogicM I have heard a lot criticism towards the GT-R because of all the gadgets that it uses to help the car go fast. Some people say it takes less skill, conversely I think it would help someone focus on what is more important. I am all for technology helping us become better drivers and going faster. I haven't driven one yet, but a Porsche guy is a guy that knows cars with souls and if you say a GT-R has one, then it makes me want to drive one all the more.
@ineurodreams I read an articlein motortrend that states the 2012 gtr now has 530 hp. As far as the launch control the transmission has been revised and nissan states that you do not void your warranty as long as you wait 15 minutes between using launch control in order to let the transmission cool. Which makes sense because 90% of transmission failures are due to heat build up.
@ineurodreams No not in the 2012 and 2011, but you can only use it 4 times an a row then you have to drive normal for 10 km and then you can lunch again.
@gamer7790 There are two versions that are going to be released at the same time. The Premium, and the Black Edition. Those wheels come on the Black Edition GT-R.
So it demonstrated the 0-60 to you and now you know it.... Why show the video without providing the results dude??? Just post it in description or edit a slide at the end...
Nissan, I am disappoint. The problem wasnt just the launch.. car was quick enough 0-60. The problem was its lack of top end acceleration. From a roll at 60mph even a ZO6 would eat the old GTR.
The GTR took 52 seconds to reach 186mph while most super cars take in the low 30's. Thats one issue that should have been resolved with the new GTR.
Yes Anthony, that is true. Go to fastestlaps and look at the acceleration times yourself. Most supercars accelerate to 186 mph in the 30 second range. The ZR1 for example takes 32 seconds. It takes the GTR 52 seconds to hit 186 mph... which is terrible. After its super fast 0-60mph sprint.. the show is over.
@kingofquartz The GTR was more for short acceleration , grip and cornering I guess , Its just a 3.8V6 twin turbo , oviously supercharged V8 engines and above would gain an upper hand in terms of long term acceleration
I'm an american, and american cars suck. The best we have is the ssc ultimate aero, and nobody wants it, because its ugly. More power to the foreign cars! :) I want an STI.
