Those who are learning French : keep learning ! It's the most beautiful language in the world.

  • @raf221 Hi raf! I have a challenge on my hands. I have to learn enough french to speak to my Algerian in laws in 3 weeks! I already have beginner level french, but need a bit of practice. can u help? i would be so grateful. have sent a friend request. :)

  • @raf221 french is the most beautiful language, but very hard to learn. I'm currently struggling with the numbers.

  • @raf221 Salut! I'm trying to learn French again, (I say again because I wasn't paying much attention at school) How do you say where is if your asking for directions? I haven't find anything on that yet. x

  • @cadeyemi What do you mean exactly? How ask direction or how answer when someone ask you his way?

  • @cadeyemi "Where is" in French is Où est, so for example Où est la fête? means 'where is the party'?

I'm from England by the way :)

  • @TheFever77

She is dealing with yes/no questions.

Wh- questions is another matter. For instance, with "où?", the formulations are:

    1) Où habitez-vous?

    2) Où est-ce que vous habitez?

    Hope this helps.

  • @raf221 haha Can I come to yours and you can teach me french?:)

  • @chrispatyna XD No but I can learn you french by skype or messenger :)

  • @raf221 thank you for an offer but I'll give it a pass for the moment. I am a proper beginner and later when my language skills improve, I'd like to have skype conversations in french if possible:)

  • @chrispatyna Ok I understand, step by step :) If you have question i'm here

  • @raf221 Cool! I'll be sure to ask you any questions if i have 'em :D

  • Bonjour!

Où est-ce que je peux trouver la leçon sur pronoms EN et Y?

Je pense que ça est plus dificille por moi! S'il vous plaît!

Walter Poltronieri - São Paulo - Brazil.

  • umm our teacher taught us that if ur asking other ppl where do they live u ask, Ou habites-tu?

    its correct too huh?

  • Comment removed

  • @m1179826 Yes.

"Où habites-tu?" is for the ppl that you know like your family, friends..

But when you have to show you respect the person you are talking with, you should use "Vous":

    "Où habitez-vous?".

In fact, when we are speaking (French persons), we say:

    "Où est-ce que tu habites?"

    or

    "Où est-ce que vous habitez?"

But it's a little bit more familiar.

    ;-)

  • merci beacoup, francais est plus dificile le video je suis m'aide

  • thank you! This was really helpful (:

  • Very good !

  • Very good. Merci bien! Would it be possible to post some more lessons?

  • depends where you live if you live over there then i guess a candian accent is good but not if you live in britain or europe.learn the Metropolitan France way.

  • Est-ce que is pronounced just like I say it! es-e-ka is the accent in quebec. It is an informal way of speaking.

  • @helwarita I have lived in Gatineau Quebec for many years and I have always heard est-ce que pronounced as "es que" not "es se que". She is slowing it way down for the purpose of simplicity.

  • Isn't "Est-ce que " pronounced as "es ka" ? How come video -pronounced as 'es -e-ka' ? Is that canadian accent
