Check out Brotherhood of Leet at my youtube channel - a re-imagining of WW2 dramas like Band of Brothers and The Pacific as if they were set during the 8 bit wars of the 1980s where Nintendo and Sega are waring nations.
The Sega Megadrive featured is the model 2 - much smaller than the original model.
The SNES is NOT 16-bit, it is actually has an 8-bit CPU which was uniquely modified and created the famous mode 7 (used in racing games such as F-Zero, Mario Kart and Street Racer).
Cartridges were not that limited in size. You could get 256MB and 512MB ones for the Neo Geo, but cost £200 each - the same price as the console itself! However, SNES and Megadrive cartridges never went above 32MB.
And the adverts!! X¬D I have a ZX81 up in the loft somewhere, along with a Speccy, and an Acorn Electron. I'll be sharing this with my bro, who uses Macs for his pro graphics work.
Meh no Apple 1 and I was hoping to see an "Altair 8800"
Also in the UK the Mega Drive was released in 1990 not "80s" however the Japanese version did come out in 88 and late 89 in the states but called "Genesis".
Somewhat disappointed in the museum, I have most of those in my house. Also should have shown Laser Invasion for the Laser Scope....well maybe not cause it does suck.
I had the ZX Spectrum +2a which was a tint improvement on the +2, and it was in black, not grey!! Kick ass! Best game was the Dizzy games, in my opinion. Infact, I wish I could get the spectrum versions of the Dizzy games on the xbox!
@richardmoores Good old days man. I only had the original dizzy. Still have 128k in perfect working order and a copy of dizzy and about 150 more. Play them every so often and i would say leave a lot of them in the past. Ruins them.

How can you have a show about vintage computers and not mention the Amiga?
Orlor 1 year ago
@Orlor Better question would be, why did they suddenly stop talking about computers, and switched to consoles? They missed the Commodore 64?

Can't believe you didn't show the Amstrad 464 or the Amiga 500, those are what I remember using when I was young.
