  • It is very true that phishing is still a major problem on the web today and it is often difficult to detect since it can be in the form of spam or pop-ups. Thus, I think that it is still best to communicate personal information via the old fashion ways such as through the phone or in person and sometimes only secure website (those with a lock icon, url with h t t p"s").

  • Definitely a prevalent problem in the 21st century. I recently read an article by the MSNBC regarding an American man who discovered fraudulent activity on his credit card. Afterwards he found out that someone had been using his social security number and so started calling all the major financial institutions asking if they had any accounts under his number. By the end he'd discovered that nearly 50 people were pretending to be him! - Marc N 415

  • this is a very useful info ...as most of the people are doing online banking now days ....its become more work on the bank side to give more security to their customer information.. its is to become a part of scam ...doing online banking through public wifi is as dangerous as giving credit card information to an unknown call center representative
