i just decided to buy the p4 version of this light, i almost got the Superfire 501B but i decided i dont like how it looked and i rather have a 1 CR123 setup anyways
I just bought the one from DX. Can you recommend any articles / sites that explain how a tactical bezel is used? Like is it just for breaking glass or is it intended for hand-to-hand combat or what?
I just got two of these from shiningbeam and needed them when they arrived during a power outage here in massachusetts without power for 5 days. Wow is this a great powerful little flashlight. Really enjoy it with my nimh AA rechargables.
A bit of correction.... I make some comments on this video as though Q5 emitters are "warmer" or more yellow colored. Thats not necessarily true, the Q bin only designates brightness and has nothing to do with color tint.
This is my EDC light, and it is on my belt daily. By now it has its share of chips, scratches and some hefty dings on the bezel and tail cap from dropping it on the concrete a couple times. In all it has held up very well for a $25 light. The anodize finish is a bit on the fragile side, and is a little easier to scratch than my 6P. So, IMHO its more of a tool than something pretty
hmm.... I have no first hand experience with that ultrafire. I continue to be impressed with the RC-N3-Q5. I have been EDC'ing it at Disneyland for the past week and its BY FAR the brightest flashlight in the park. Its amazing that multi-billion dollar company can't equip its security, first aid and event staff with something better than $5 dollar-store junk.
I thinking about ordering the R4 version from goinggear.

RC-N3 R4 2- mode @$25 is latest model that I just got from ShiningBeam. It has smoother beam than my Fenix LD20 and has a slightly yellow tint.
