To all the ones saying what you can do with ford engines. When is the last time a ford engine put down 650 hp naturally aspirated? And the thing is, a supercharged car with a ton of horsepower isn't at all impressive, ford just followed along to what imports were doing years before them.

The sole reason the 2011 GT beats a 2011 SS is power to weight. Once the 2011 SS loses some weight it's over for the mustangs again.

LS9 is nice but 640hp from a supercharged 6.2 is not unbeatable. If some of Fords 5.4 supercharged are capable of reaching 750hp i cant imagine s/c a 6.2, but well see in time.

Last i cheked a LS1 was capable of max 650hp before you enter the "danger zone" whereas the shelby gt500s 5.4 can hold 900hp on a stock block. Lingenfelters are great but you pay a rediculous ammount of money for the power. Might aswell go with Hennessey.

@saleenxxx - That police officer would not have a case in court if that happened. No cop can come up to you and ask you to race in order to arrest you for something. You need to rev first or ask to race in order to be arrested (when you actually launch is when they can arrest you) As for the tough guy with the Cobra. You can tell by the tone of his voice that he would punch the Trans Am driver if he left his vehicle to chat about racing.

@saleenxxx - btw. The police can't initiate a race undercover. That's entrapment. The police can only arrest someone undercover when the race has been initiated by the racer himself. A cop can't just ask you to race and take you in. That's against our rights. Plus the kid in the monster Trans Am sounded far from a cop.

All these engines are n/a and both the fords surpasses the ls1, i think chevy is trying to keep up, or least stay alive and not file for bankruptcey.

LS9 is nice but 640hp from a supercharged 6.2 is not unbeatable. If some of Fords 5.4 supercharged are capable of reaching 750hp i cant imagine s/c a 6.2, but well see in time.

Last i cheked a LS1 was capable of max 650hp before you enter the "danger zone" whereas the shelby gt500s 5.4 can hold 900hp on a stock block. Lingenfelters are great but you pay a rediculous ammount of money for the power. Might aswell go with Hennessey.

Last time i checked majority of Fords motors MADE more trq than hp if not equal to. Yea their gears(numbers), weight, power to weight (numbers), traction and oh yeah ACCELERATION (looky there more numbers) so dont say its not about number like some dumbass ricer, unless you are one "jack ass". lol you call me an idiot and you have NO idea what YOUR talking about? Your thinking of the 4.6 dumbass, those were supercharged in 03/04. The 5.4 was found in the 2000 cobra R look it up lazy shit. Made 385hp and trq n/a. The 5.4 wasnt supercharged until 07 in the shelby gt500 but thats a completly rebuilt 5.4. I think your the only dumb one here so keep quiet.

Who says im comparing the cobra r to a super sport? Im comparing engines, not cars. Fords 5.4 (found in the cobra r) is 385hp, has 385hp OR fords 5.8 (found in the 01 saleen) has 410hp. GM 5.7 LS1 has 345hp. The ls3 6.2 just pushes 425hp. So dont call me a fool when i mentioned engines in my first post, fool.

OMG your iq must be around 130 so there is no point in trying to explain that the ls3 and ls1 were made for the STREET hence they have less power than the saleen and cobra r racing motors because they wanted to appeal to the general public with better gas mileage so whatever believe what you want i really dont care because my camaro is a beast and i have yet to see a 5.4 that outruns me even with more horsepower.

Your stupid the Vette Zr1 has a supercharged 6.2and only makes 638hp, the mustang super snake has a s/c 5.4 and makes 750hp. The LS1 5.7 has 340hp and the ford triton 5,4 makes 385hp. You obviously cant count. So dont tell me "nice try" when i didnt even have to "try" lol

you want to talk third party companies? The lingenfelter only gives you 805hp on the camaro WITH A TT 7 liter engine, SEVEN liters for 800hp, no price yet but they round up to 120 grand. The Hennessey offers 700hp, from the ,already supercharged LS9, for a price of 109 grand. Saleen camaro reaches 575hp with a s/c 6.2. The 09 shelby super snake mustang offers 750hp 5.4 for 89 grand, the saleen mustang is a 655hp 4.6 beating the saleen camaros. 2010 super snake offers 820hp from the same 5.4

Lol yes the camaro did run better times because the mustang had shitty tires. If you want to be so proud as to call that a win then by all means do so. Second, the 2008 super snake has ran a record time of 10.78 with a supercharged 5.4 and those only cost 70 grand now. Btw were talking power from engines, not 1/4 mile and track times...unless you want to go there to? Perhaps a 0-60 test? or 0-200?
