Simon Wright was damn good. I don't see how anyone could say he's mediocre. I think he played just fine. I liked his style, especially on Fly On The Wall.
@Greggy: depends on the drummer. Simon did not make AC/DC still AC/DC. He tried to be flashy and his rhythm sounded awful. At least with Slade he tried to keep some form of groove with his advanced techniques.
I was there too. 14 yrs old. Gosh, I remember what a great light show for that era. Plus the first tour with real cannons. Loud as hell. Wish I had that whole show so I could hear it all again after almost 30 yrs.
i don't know why people bash simon wright. i mean granted he wasn't the best for acdc. but i suggest you watch him drumming with the band dio. in 83 sure he was pretty mediocre i'll give you that
@DHRC18 Chris Slade Did Pretty well On Shoot To Thrill On The Live at Donnignton Album He was Great, And Your right simon WRIGHT Fited in All WRIGHT To Me hahaha

Brian's voice is excellent. But notice that, right after the solo, Brian is off rythm.

If Malcolm didn't think Simon was good enough then he would not be in the band. Period. End of story. BTW Phil ROCKS!
