But after watching these videos it obviously works for him, like Machida's style works for him. Obviously need some sort of ground game and both do supposedly. I'm a stand up guy mostly, only ended one match in neck crank. These guys are more well rounded though both can wrestle, but BJJ is suspect

Actually Cung Le has a black belt in Taekwondo, skilled in Vietnamese Kung-fu, did wrestling in high school, knows Thai boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That's pretty mixed. He knows how to get back up if people take him down thanks to his BJJ and Wrestling. If he must he'll just other styles, but so far his TKD and kickboxing is doing the job. I don't see what you have against him.

A lot of people in the US still underestimate Asians I guess but I think the trend seems to be going the other way. The US carmakers are the underdogs now and Japanese seems to be becoming fairly popular as a second language choice.

Actually Cung Le has a black belt in Taekwondo, skilled in Vietnamese Kung-fu, did wrestling in high school, knows Thai boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That's pretty mixed. He knows how to get back up if people take him down thanks to his BJJ and Wrestling. If he must he'll just other styles, but so far his TKD and kickboxing is doing the job. I don't see what you have against him.

THEN he takes off 18 months to make movies instead of defending his title like a real fighter. That is what I have against him.
