Ha people always do this when shows turn from just another cartoon into a famous show. I know things change and that the show may not be what you use to love. But in honesty i think people just want to know that they were some of the original people that loved the show and that thanks to their support the show became famous and now that the show no longer needs it they feel betrayed. I understand what you're trying to say, but as it stands, it's a rule of thumb, not an absolute. People do this for South Park and Futurama, NOT for Family Guy. SP and Fut. both haven't really changed, just took creative liberties. Family Guy has changed, and favors Seth's opinion over crass humor.

I was a big fan of the show when it first came out as well. I remember when I was in high school, we would have fun laughing at Stewie quotes. I was happy to see that it had returned after 3 years. It's comeback was great, it was very exciting; however, somewhere within the 5th or 6th season, it just got too ronchy to watch. @SSCC2015 what I'm saying is that when you really watch it closely, you realize that probably the only reason you're laughing is because of the brainless humor of the show. Notice how nothing happens in the plots, which are bland and base. Observe how the characters, which are shallow and dumb, and never develop at all. Look at Brian, and see how he is clearly an engine for projecting Seth Mcfarlanes liberal, douchebag opinions from a biased position. Count the number of gags in each episode!
I'm turning 17 in a couple days and Family Guy is terrible.
I grew out of it and will no longer associate myself with such stupidity and garbage. The substance/content itself has been diminishing with every season/episode. Years ago I enjoyed watching it on television, but nowadays not at all.

Despite my username, I actually agree 100% with what you said. I'm even in the process of making my own video with a similar argument. Family Guy used to be clever, well-written, and even had heart in some episodes. Now it relies purely on vulgarity and poor jokes to get through an episode. The character personalities and even the animation are now just lazy.
American Dad on the other hand is brilliant. Almost on par with early Simpsons episodes. They should just stick with that.
I think when Cleveland left the show was when it really started to suck. The plots aren't creative anymore. It's like you're watching the same episode over and over again. Seth MacFarlane is an arrogant prick who 13 year old boys worship for his immature potty humor driven shows, college students worship for his mainstream liberal/anti religious driven claims, and that insecure girls worship for his love of musicals and pretty boy face. He took typical scenarios and skits, made them offensive and anti social,labeled it all as an "animated tv show" and has since expanded the empire 3x over with an almost mindless fan base serving as an ego for it all.

I still can't believe so many people think he's funny. The only good news coming from this is that his older fans are growing increasingly tired of his unfunny, overused jokes and stolen IMDB quotes from television and cinema culture of the 80's.

Im a fan of the show, i remember when it first came on when I was younger, and i have to agree, its so tiring to see the same, politic jokes and religion jokes. it really is. I saw an ep yesterday that had to do with religion, and Brian's speech was basically Seth talking not the character. Yea I agree with it, but it doesn't mean I wanna hear it repeated. Same for American Dad, that show also throws its views on us. but this is FOX, they love this shit.

When it first came out, it was fresh, unpredictable, and VERY funny and entertaining, It was like a newer, fresher Simpsons. But now all the characters are so damn unlikeable. Lois used to be a voice of reason, now she's an unfunny bitch. Brian used to be a likeable voice of reason, now he is a Seth Mcfarlin clone. i'm an athiest and even I get sick of him pushing his beliefs down our throats. Peter used to be the most loveable, funny, and generally cool guys on TV. Now he is a complete retard.

OMG... I saw that episode, It was "The Juice is Loose" And after watching that Episode I said "WTF happened to Family Guy?!" I was just shocked at how random and pointless it was! @SSCC2015 what I'm saying is that when you really watch it closely, you realize that probably the only reason you're laughing is because of the brainless humor of the show. Notice how nothing happens in the plots, which are bland and base. Observe how the characters, which are shallow and dumb, and never develop at all. Look at Brian, and see how he is clearly an engine for projecting Seth Mcfarlanes liberal, douchebag opinions from a biased position. Count the number of gags in each episode!

I'm turning 17 in a couple days and Family Guy is terrible.
I grew out of it and will no longer associate myself with such stupidity and garbage. The substance/content itself has been diminishing with every season/episode. Years ago I enjoyed watching it on television, but nowadays not at all.
So I concur that Family Guy does Suck. And Peter Griffin in actuality epitomizes the opposite of a family guy/man.

Some people will find my sense of humor boring and very possibly retarded, but someone will find your sense of humor boring too. Despite my username, I actually agree 100% with what you said. I'm even in the process of making my own video with a similar argument. Family Guy used to be clever, well-written, and even had heart in some episodes. Now it relies purely on vulgarity and poor jokes to get through an episode. The character personalities and even the animation are now just lazy.
American Dad on the other hand is brilliant. Almost on par with early Simpsons episodes. They should just stick with that.

I think when Cleveland left the show was when it really started to suck. The plots aren't creative anymore. It's like you're watching the same episode over and over again. Also, it's obvious he is using the show as a platform to make political statements, instead of trying to make the show worth watching for everyone.

Brian has become the voice of Seth Green in being a liberal atheist douche, and all the one time joke characters (ollie/monkey/etc) have been whored out to the point where I want to throw up upon seeing them. Meg being useless has been whored out and just isn't funny to begin with. Every scene involving a man and a woman (flintstones/houdini/whatever) ends with the guy calling her a bitch, the "jokes" are too long and just suck in general.
