  • wow you retired like a month before i got out 2007 was a year full of changes lol

  • @cminksful I retired June 2004. It's seemed like there's been lots of changes recently, what are some of the changes you're talking about?

    Top

  • @TopAbbott oh i saw you uploaded this vid in 2007 i was thinking thats when you retired i got out in 2007 the changes im talking about i guess it just seems like such a long time ago i remember it all like it was yesterday but at the same time it feels like it was another life or something, going from an 18 year old high school grad. to what i am now looking back on it all i guess it just makes me pause and think sometimes

  • thank you fairfeild your service!

  • Well all I got to say is thank you for serving our country. Having the balls to be a Marine. And not taking the BS from these punk ass spoiled brats that have no respect for those with actual real world experience. Most of today's youth are worthless. The OCC Mikeys of the world.

  • "Your first rule is you will have fun whether you like it or not!" The crowd should have said "YES MASTER SERGEANT!"

  • When a female reporter asked a marine sergeant about he and his men being possibly sent into harm's way, the sergeant replied, "Ma'am, we're United States Marines. We ARE harm's way."

  • i dont care if your in or not but change your trousers..your disrespecting the corps with those fake pants.

  • @The0311Killer I'm not sure how things work in your world but in this one we cannot go back in time and change our clothes in a video. Additionally, I don't know who you are nor who you think you are but I don't take my orders from someone's YouTube comments.

  • @TopAbbott it is 0142 and I just seen this video, must say I immediately sat up and placed my feet at a 45 degree angle....thanks for the flash back to basic!

  • @g3thersome The whole idea of the military is NOT turning people into killers, civilians are quite capable of killing, watch the news any day of the week. Killing may be part of a combat mission, but there are MANY missions, including HUMANITARIAN!

I served 20 years in the US Marine Corps and never killed anyone.

  • this is motivating =) i want to do this at my church!!! cuz once i hit that bleecher at church...i went straight to dreaming and snoring =)

  • @phoisgood2 I think you need to find a new church! My church is NOT boring...

  • @Nhia89 And who are you? For the 9th millionth time, RETIRED! I could wear anything I want! AND I didn't wear regular cammies because that would have been improper use of the uniform and I didn't wear Alpha's because the wouldn't have been proper use of the uniform AND this was for a comic effect. Semper Fi!

  • @TopAbbott Nicely done !

  • You want "I" me-Mine--should have enlisted in the Army--The Marines fight as a team--Get into a firefight and you wont be bitchin about individualism.

  • @KeithWasHere1 gun-ho bullet bag? Thats how you call the service men who keep your sorry ass self from being invaded and keep your freedom intact? If your going to talk shit to the men and women who protect your country then get the fuck out! If you won't stand behind our troops stand in front of them.

  • @jorgeyeahman you obviously didn't read any of my other comments,i do support them wholeheartedly (and if it wasn't for a motorcycle wreck when i was 16 screwing up my skeleton.. id most likely be there with them, just not as a marine) i just don't agree with the Marine corps way of taking your individuality and humanity away from you then fill you up with such gung ho nonsense,.but when you die then you go back to being a individual and whatnot.doesn't make sense.

  • @KeithWasHere1 the only one's getting blown apart for a cause are the one's strapping bombs to their chests or driving cars full of TNT. If you've never been a part of then there is really no reason trying to explain it to you. Just accept the fact that you will never understand why we do what we do. Because if you know you'd most likely be sitting right next to me.

  • @Stallion518 your telling me not one serviceman has come back with "limbs not attached" or "dis-articulated" noted on the body bag?..there have been no closed casket funerals for service men? not one has been caught in an explosion from an IED? And you are wrong i do understand it,i understand it very well, and if i was physically able to,id be over there in a heartbeat, but alas i am not,I support you guys,i just don't agree with the military's way of dehumanizing. you and the brainwashing.

  • @KeithWasHere1 no im not telling you that no one has come back maimed or injured or dead. its something that we all accept. you dont think about it otherwise you can't do your job. dehumanizing us im not so sure about the military dehumanizing our troops. you dehumanize the enemy to make it easier to kill and accomplish the mission. no one wants to kill but it is necessary. kill or be killed. if you want to call it brainwashing then so be it. its a culture you don't fully understand

  • @Stallion518

You're wasting your breath on this one. He is not hearing or listening.

  • Semper Fi..God's "Top" Creations

  • @LPBrian4 Semper Fi! Thanks for commenting Marine.

  • @KeithWasHere1 said..."for all we know 9/11 was an inside job," To believe 9/11 was an inside job demonstrates acceptance of lies & brainwashing. Those who believe this lie accept a form of mind control, released upon those desperate to follow a cause which collapses under intelligent, simple & overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Similar to a cult like Mormons & Jehovah's Witnesses, hearing only what supports their deception, resistant to simple, sensible scrutiny.

  • @ProChoiceJesus so your saying that its a total impossibility that the us government could of engineered those attacks simply to sir up a hornets nest and get people to go to war?? that us government could never ever kill its populace off to further its own ends? i noticed that every time america need money we usually go to war with someone, but this time it didnt work.I do not take 9/11 at face value, box cutters? box cutters are going to take over a entire jumbo jet with 200 people? come on!!

  • Comment removed

  • @TopAbbott yeah your right the soldier/civilian death ration is disproportionate,But, the CAUSE you speak of is bullshit, the military was sent to protect Americas oil interests and profit margin, its spent billions of dollars in war that is basically un-winable,yeah we got Hussein and bin laden Bravo.only took us 20 years on one and 10 on the other,so what, more bin ladens and hussiens will pop up,worse ones that will do worse things, you take one out 3 take his place. this war is a war of money-

  • @dmuzney1 I had just retired and didn't want to violate the Uniform Regs and didn't know how they applied to retired personnel so I opted for something that gave a clear indication that I was military, but had no rank nor affiliation to one of the branches. At the time "Urban" cammies were not in regular use by any branch.

  • @geehuckwow I'm too busy enjoying the freedoms afforded to me by the US Military to care about your stupid comment. I'll leave it up for other veterans and military supporters to comment on. But why don't you go out an make better use of your time.

  • @TopAbbott Those freedoms are becoming fewer unfortunately and it has nothing to do with our men and women in uniform.

  • @masterofcola "Top" is a nickname for all Marine Master Sgts. (Army too I believe) In the 40s and 50s there were no SgtsMajor in the Corps, so the highest rank you could attain was Master Sergeant "top" of the enlisted rank structure.

  • @TopAbbott "Top" is the nickname for the Army's First Sergeant.

  • @TopAbbott Top is the rank of 1st Sergeant in th Army. He's the "top" nco in a company.

  • @TopAbbott top is a nickname for army first sergeants, not master sergeants.

  • 273 semperfi rangers frequently destroyed cannontowers during ww2 that were on the coast my uncles a major n my fathers a major n my other unlces a coporaln n my grandfather was a sergant during operation dessert storm he died during a firefight so u better watch out what u say cuss they are all rangers

  • @TonganCrips808 You obviously don't know shit about the Marines or any branch of the US Military other than the Rangers. I've met kids like you from countries all around the world. Same story with kids from SAS family. They shit talk other branches of their military and other military forces as a whole because their heads have been filled by their family members who served in that branch with "Rangers lead the way" and all that shit.

  • THIS IS ONLY TO MONKEYKILLER09 in gods name rangers are more elite

  • @TonganCrips808

What you are doing is comparing the rangers to the marines. Thats like comparing mexican food to pasta. Yes they are both food; but one is an entire style of food and the other is just one dish. By saying that the rangers are more elite than the Corps isnt even a valid argument. Good luck with JROTC and listen more instead of ranting about things you know nothing of

  • my fahter would not aprove of my negative comment that i posted that got all of u pissed but in gods name and in the ranger botherhood marines are not more elite than the rangers, rangers are classified as specail forces but there are only 80 percent elite marines the rest are just teens ranger do missions that will affect the country big.marines do too but not frequent. and TOPABBOTT my fathers been gone to somali ok my hero is not here to giude me rite from wrong

  • @TonganCrips808 Every Marine a Rifleman, even the band. Pound for Pound, the most elite fighting force we have here in the States is the Marine Corps. You know nothing about The Corps or the rangers so it is best to shut up.

  • but the thing monkeykiller09 said that is entirely false i now resecpt the marines n there service but no way in hell and i can bet you my father and his comrades life that marines are not more elite. marines are elite in stealth and killing i agree but rangers are classified as specail forces even though theres little of us its cuss we work in secercy we arent known much cuss of our succesful missions we capture and rescue theres too many teen marines that die but rangers are all elite

  • my father was a major in the ranger botherhood that i thought i canshit on marines and the army again you can call me anything u want im sorry. i didnt realize what i was saying

  • i was just so posioned by my fathers ranger ego that i thought rangers and delta force plus navy seals were the only backbone but ur comments made me realized that there are other specail forces again i am so deep into my specail forces family that i was comsumed by showing off that im sorry i was a dumbass i am 14 and i need to learn more as i grow older

  • to everyone that responded to my comment i meant to say young marine teens not older now that i ponder over it i am sorry for what i said i just meant to sayyoung marine teens make the force weak but the older specail marine recons and older marine arent disgrace im sorry that ioffended the older marines i was trying to talk about young teen marines im in ROTC in highskool n i guess i was enraged at my mates so i took my anger out on marines. AGAIN IM EXTREMLY SORRY I MEANT 2TALKaboutTEENmarines

  • and you no what? all the serive man and women that are dead are respectable. we all do the same thing and thats kick ass for america but talking shit about the marines pisses the shit out of me cuz one of my frends went in and died..... killed by and IED so next time you say shit about marines think about not only the army and navy and airforce serive men that died. think about the dead marines you just disrespected by saying that

  • you no what marines did for you? i gaurenty you that if you say fuck marines to any former vietnam or ww2 veteran that was a marine you'd get ur ass kicked why the hell r u putting the marines down? Iwo jima, keh sanh, Iran, they kick ass and if they didnt shut the japenese up we'd all be dead right now. my grandfather was a marine, my cousins a marine, my brothers a marine, so's my uncle and after my last year of college im going to. be carful what you say about marines no mater what

  • brave MARINES

  • armys chicken shit in battle the navys worse and the air force is unspeakable. join the marines at least in the marines theres no one for you to be but buddies with

    OORAH! semper fi

  • @TonganCrips808 It is very obvious you've never served in any branch of the service a day in your life. As a career Marine I can say that I support and respect all the branch's, including the reserves and Coast Guard. All American Servicemen and Women who have completed basic are our nation's elite. I would never disparage an American who has laid down their life!

I cannot believe your Ranger father would be proud of what you've said here.

  • @TonganCrips808 there are so many brave men and women dead because they have to save peoples sorry ass like yours

  • @TonganCrips808 god damn your cool. i bet you feel pretty bad ass right now sitting at your house disrespecting dead servicemen. I bet if it was your fucking ranger daddy that was dead you wouldn't talk like such a punk bitch.

  • @TonganCrips808 You're an idiot!

  • @TonganCrips808 Bro you are SO FUCKING STUPID. Marines are the tip of the spear Rangers are not. rangers are not better than us ok. Marines are ALWAYS called before the faggot ass rangers. Fucking dumbass ive been in the Marines for 2 years and when i was sent to Afghanistan i actually had to end go and save a group of rangers because they couldnt save their own asses. God your so fucking stupid it makes me want to put a peice of lead in your head...

  • @TonganCrips808 dude you relize that you compared a common marine to a special force in the other services... ur not alone happens all the time... knowing this wud you say that Marines as a whole are the elite since they are being compared to the Elite of the other Branches... just ponder on that thought... now if you want the Elite in the Marine Corps look up MARSOC or Force Recon... or the birth of marine special forces.... Carlson's Marine Raiders

  • @TonganCrips808 faggot

  • @TonganCrips808 and by the way you forgot marine recon, also you are a disgrace to our military the way you talk. i mean really? why would you even post such a stupid comment

  • @bigk249 You must clarify, are you speaking of Recon or Force Recon, two different entities.

  • @TonganCrips808 There is some picking between the branches but that is an honor we reserve for ourselves (those who have served). You're just completely disrespectful and have no idea about the deployment of assets. Marines *are* Elite, they have numbers for waterborne deployments. Ranger, SF, Delta are specialized forces used for specific tasks not LARGE-scale assaults. Just like the 82nd can be wheels-up within 2 hours of presidential notification.

-Prior Mortarman 3/504th PIR 82nd ABN

  • @h1ghstrung Outstanding!

    Top

  • @TopAbbott Absolutely Correct, Being a former Marine Expeditionary Force and Instructor (CCI) I can confirm the Army does have Rapid Response Forces. However they are not used as much as MEF, SEALS, PMC's but they do exist and are used in response to Conflicts Worldwide. However the designation of special forces deployed is determined through JSOC and the joint chief of Staff of the military branches. I do know that the Delta and Rangers are deployed if available, or if not currently on mission

  • @TonganCrips808 Rangers Lead the way, for the Army you idiot. Not for initial conflict. Learn your history. US Marines according to the DOD were the initial force on 83.7% of all US Related conflicts. The remaining is was split up between the branches Special forces units, USAF, NAVY, ARMY, MARINES. The reason why more Marines die is because we are a more effective initial fighting force. ALL Wars initial fighting forces lost the most amount. USMC combat standards are higher than the Army.

  • @TonganCrips808 theres about 203,000 marines and 2,400 seals so the seals couldnt lose as many as the marines even if they wanted to o.O but im sure the marines lose more because they fight more, theyre everywhere. and plus "tonga crip" id like to see all crips fight the marines... the US would be so much better :D

  • @TonganCrips808

Read on the Korean War and tell me what the Army did besides run and die on a frozen lake

  • @TonganCrips808 If your father is really a Ranger, than he would have given you a swift kicking for saying what you've said here. Every good soldier, airman or sailor has respect for his fellow military comrades, and though some friendly competition may arise, that aspect of respect is always present. I have never served, as I am too young, but I know damn well that any person who has risked their life and fought for their country has intense respect for whoever else had done or does so.

Yes, you could say that we’re there to keep the stability, but ultimately, it’s just the corporations pulling strings to make money on the war economy. I still plan on joining, and I’ll be there to answer the call regardless of the reason.

  • guy at the top i am a US Marine and i just completed my second joint training exercise with RMC and i would never compare them with navy seals. Im in FAST Co and we were teaching them close quarters battle tactics. The RMC is good but i would never say they were better then a USMC infantry man. Oh yea and we out shot them on the range twice.

  • @tpearce7 hoorah

  • It is completely incorrect to compare the Royal Marines Commando with the US Marine Corps. At the time of the inception of the USMC, the missions of the two forces were similar, and of course the powers that be at the time (I'm going to guess the Continental Congress) decided to name the USMC after the RMC. After that they became completely different. The RMC of today shares more in common with the Navy Seals than the USMC. Both the USMC and RMC are EXCELLENT at what they do.

  • @leloelela Well said. I agree completely!

    Top

  • @leloelela

yea right, im a US Marine in FAST and just completed my second joint training exercise and at times we were teaching them close quarters battle tactics. We also beat them on the range twice i would never compare them to Navy Seals. They are strong and great at hazing themselves but i would never say they are better than a USMC infantryman. The only thing they have us beat on is that there training just to be a regular marine is long as hell and only serve as rifle men for 2 yrs
