He says that there is no way he can reach her and hasn't seen her through the window (or else we would have seen as well) - there's no way he could have known Rapunzel was a girl!
I personally like it and with better music it could be one of the best pans I've ever seen for a cartoon. Also, if the text was a little more passionate it would go down as one of my favorite shots.
@moraygirl1 Traditionally, the harp was a woman's instrument, so it could be reasonably assumed that, when one heard harp music, that it was a woman playing it.
This was the AMERICAN dubbed version. The show was originally made by a japanese company called Nippon Animation and the name of the show was originally called Grimm's Masterpiece theater. It was dubbed in the late 80s.
@Kerriangel I have very long hair myself (not as long as Rapunzel's obviously) but I'm very attached to my hair. When I had the chance to cut my hair for locks of love a couple of years ago, I got really scared and almost chickened out.
@janeyrevanescence12 Same here, I once had really long hair myself, and the only reason I ever did cut it was because it became impossible. Try imagine getting your hair stuck in doors whenever you close them.
Wow, upon first meeting they're in love and married. Then suddenly they realized tat the witch is evil eventhough there is no evidence. Man fairy tales are to predictable and kinnda obnoxious
How did he know a female was playing music I mean does music have a gender?
Isn't it funny that all he basicly said was hello,I tricked you for no reason, I'm rich, and your pretty and in that two minute they were married. Isn't that rushing it a bit? This is a commitment your making to a stranger.
And why didn't Rapunzel just cut off her hair and claimed down she could have been freed years ago!
@NaveenandTianaXT1 Probably for the same reason she acted as if she was dying over a haircut. Seeing how the witch could have killed her, a haircut isn't so bad. But these are fairytales
Ohh, this is the Rapunzel thing I saw as a little kid. I didn't know it was drawn anime style. I remember only when the witch cuts off Rapunzel's hair, the prince goes blind when falling in thorns, him wandering around blind, and the tears with healing powers. Wow, that is trippy that Rapunzel and the prince actually slept together.
Of course, "we" are atleast 14 years old which is FAR from the target audience of this show. Children wouldn't know the difference anyway. It's a show for children people, you need to analyze it from a child's point of view.
I think the prince thought SCORE! when she said she had never met a man before

There is also a Disney version of Rapunzel which had Flynn Rider being stabbed in the back by Mother Gothel. The name of it: Tangled.

Rapunzel looks so younger and beautiful with her nice, polite sounding voice.
Kristina19571 6 months ago
Rapunzel's voice sounds similar to Snow White in GFTC Snow White. She sounds like she's 16 years old so she sounds very younger like a teenager.

Guys remember to leave as soon as you can, if you stay the morning.... expect to find a witch.

@justalittlebookworm Back then, the harp was considered strictly a woman's instrument, so you could reasonably expect a harp player to be a girl.
