Oblivion has a lot of problems. Between the horrifying technical issues and various design blunders, somehow it manages to still be good for its time. That's because it has something that most RPGs do not have. That is, until you look into the Eastern European RPG market. A game like Gothic 3 was overshadowed by Oblivion, but there were things that were a lot better about it, and it had the vastness and breadth of options just like Elder Scrolls does.

They're both good. Oblivion is more polished in some key ways though. Combat is better, etc.

two world two is a good challenge for elder scrolls . it has nice storyline gameplay and graphics. but u cnt compare it with TES games. all TES games are pretty awesome

Yeah, I knew this. But I actually think a lot of people were too hard on Gothic 4. Despite the seemingly-misleading title (promising the gothic experience), it was a pretty good adventure. Perhaps they should have just called it "Arcania". I think the main complaint I had with it was extremely small amount of spells (of course scrolls and runes took their places, but still). Risen is a fantastic game though.

Two worlds 2 is fucking amazing, in many aspects its much better than oblivion... If they took best parts from two worlds 2 and oblivion, then combined them together, we would get a perfect RPG
Okay, so Two Worlds isn't perfect. But neither is Oblivion, and Skyrim won't be perfect either. I personally like how Two Worlds made you WORK for something. Something Oblivion fell short on. Both good, but as a total game Oblivion is better. Don't get me wrong, I love Two Worlds! Played the holy hell out of the first and second! But they are "B-Games", they have poor funding therefore they lack things like voice acting. Two Worlds has some GREAT idea's! Some executed poorly, but great.
Morrowind came out 5 years before Oblivion and it kicks the shit out of it. Two worlds is more for the hardcore RPG fans, Oblivion is for casuals who like GTA. I'm glad you like it, but as an RPG, it sux.

Oblivion is pretty much for retarded kids who have to be taken care of all the time and have to hold hands wherever they go. It's easy, with a useless leveling system. I say useless because the game never motivated me to level up. You can beat the game in level 1 for christ sake! Two Worlds is a hardcore RPG that doesn't lend you a hand for nothing. Two Worlds is much better than Oblivion. I don't play the whole Oblivion game, because i have played for 3 hours. After the 3 hours I took the game in my shelf. Since that it is there.

Two Worlds. It was a great game if you got past it's flaws. And the soundtrack was fantatstic. I loved it. More so than Oblivion, or the rest of TES series. And you know how I can tell you guys didn't play the first TW? When you say TW2 was an improvement, when in reality, nothing changed.

@Bonertronica Haven't played Two Worlds 2 yet, waiting to finish the DL on Steam, so I won't say wich one is better. But in Oblivion you can do absolutely whatever you want, you only follow quests if you want to and to be honest I know a lot of ppl that played the game for years and never bothered to finish the main storyline. After you get out the sewers you're pretty much on your own.

Was there ever really any doubt. We all know Oblivion is the closest thing to a "perfect game". Being made way back in 2005 it still kicks ass of most games made today. Like Gothic 4 arcadia, Two worlds 2, and ofcourse fable 3, that was made for dumb people, to show off how much shiny stuff thay can but into a single game, while the gameplay departments paycheck was cut in half and graphic designers lived as millionares.
Oblivion is soo much better then two worlds, i honestly dont understand how anyone would think two worlds is better, and i think skyrim will be better then two worlds 2, but two worlds 2 is a huge improvement.

hmm oblivion is more versatile and realistic meaning the more u swim and jump u improve in that skill rather than just adding points. races to choose from are more. In fact two worlds is almost the same as oblivion just that oblivion has more touch and an X factor i guess. In my opinion, when i first played two worlds i felt the graphics were fucking horrible. But i was thinking of trying two worlds II hoping it isnt as bad as the first.

Okay, so Two Worlds isn't perfect. But neither is Oblivion, and Skyrim won't be perfect either. I personally like how Two Worlds made you WORK for something. Something Oblivion fell short on. Both good, but as a total game Oblivion is better. Don't get me wrong, I love Two Worlds! Played the holy hell out of the first and second! But they are "B-Games", they have poor funding therefore they lack things like voice acting. Two Worlds has some GREAT idea's! Some executed poorly, but great.

@haarmegiddo It doesn't really matter when the game came out , does it? Storyline, atmosphere and gameplay could as great in year 2000 as in 2011... Most old RPG's beat the shit out of the new ones.. Not only RPGs, but most old games were much better than new ones... They don't make those atmospheric games any more and if they do, they become "the game of the year".

Oblivion is pretty much for retarded kids who have to be taken care of all the time and have to hold hands wherever they go. It's easy, with a useless leveling system. I say useless because the game never motivated me to level up. You can beat the game in level 1 for christ sake! Two Worlds is a hardcore RPG that doesn't lend you a hand for nothing. You gotta work for your shit. It ain't for everybody, and I like it that way. Stick to Oblivion kids.

Two Worlds. It was a great game if you got past it's flaws. And the soundtrack was fantatstic. I loved it. More so than Oblivion, or the rest of TES series. And you know how I can tell you guys didn't play the first TW? When you say TW2 was an improvement, when in reality, nothing changed.

@Bonertronica Haven't played Two Worlds 2 yet, waiting to finish the DL on Steam, so I won't say wich one is better. But in Oblivion you can do absolutely whatever you want, you only follow quests if you want to and to be honest I know a lot of ppl that played the game for years and never bothered to finish the main storyline. After you get out the sewers you're pretty much on your own.

Was there ever really any doubt. We all know Oblivion is the closest thing to a "perfect game". Being made way back in 2005 it still kicks ass of most games made today. Like Gothic 4 arcadia, Two worlds 2, and ofcourse fable 3, that was made for dumb people, to show off how much shiny stuff thay can but into a single game, while the gameplay departments paycheck was cut in half and graphic designers lived as millionares.

hmm oblivion is more versatile and realistic meaning the more u swim and jump u improve in that skill rather than just adding points. races to choose from are more. In fact two worlds is almost the same as oblivion just that oblivion has more touch and an X factor i guess. In my opinion, when i first played two worlds i felt the graphics were fucking horrible. But i was thinking of trying two worlds II hoping it isnt as bad as the first.
