  • I'm Capture Claw (tm) Batman!

  • The Dark Knight Collection? No. That's the 1989 Batman Collection, Mr. Announcer.

  • i totally remember these commericals, damn i'm old! lol

  • Black-face Joker!! How terrible is that toy?

  • Nothing like a superhero and a villain getting along like good friends.

  • We use to have that Batman plane.

  • 0:02 - :04 Not bad.

  • "you've got great new weapons, Batman!" -the friendly, supportive Joker

  • Sweet! I've always wanted the Joker to transform into a Jersey Shore cast member

  • I always got a little fed up at all the props that are in these toy commercials, along with nice displays for all the action figures to go through, miniature city playsets.... my reason for not liking that is because these toys were, sadly, cheap plastic. Nothing fancy or anything. They could never have the stuff that the commercials used.

Like, miniature gold bullion that would fit in a figure's hands? Buildings like in this one? Those clear cubes Batmobiles burst through?

  • @sonic8005 you could have made that stuff. Its not really that hard especially with some imagination.

  • @grimmorrigan Well, not neccessarily. Getting that precision would take several hours of work and honestly by the end of it all making models and props like these wouldn't be worth it. Especially if you didn't develop the talent.

These sets and props were designed by professionals for the sake of the commercial exclusively. It sadly wasn't possible for us kids to get them.

Of course, myself and every kid I knew growing up always had good imaginations so you do have a point still.

  • @sonic8005 Your parents didn't buy you clear cubes? Sad . . .

  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!

  • I still have the Batman figure featured in this commercial, "Crime Attack Batman." This may be one of the last high profile licences from Kenner before the company was bought out.

  • Hey, nice disguise kid!! I hope you realise that immersing your action figure in tea invalidates the warranty..

  • i loved these commercial growing up, I always wonder though why the kids built such elborate sets just to play with their toys, i just scrunched up my blankets(batcave) and arched my pillow(parking for the batmobile) EPIC MEMORIES!!

  • Now that was more entertaining then Batman and Robin!

  • I think these kids wrote the script for Batman and Robin. This commercial and that so called " film " are nearly identical in terms of quality.

  • Did The Joker just transform into Red-Skull!

  • @PaniPoniTenshi Only if you're color blind.

  • Nice bike joker.... lol

  • Hey, the makeup feature was really cool, and spring-fired missile toys were a new phenomenon! Cut the kids some slack!

  • I remember getting that batjet for my birthday and being mad because it wasn't the one from the movie.

  • The jet is a remake of a Silverhawk toy. It used to be gray and has bird eyes sticker. The misile got remold and used to looked like a beak.

  • I actually bought Batman for 2 bucks at a Chiller convention complete.

  • It's so funny seeing a young Ethan Embry in this tv ad.

  • why does the bat jet looks so lame? hahah

  • @inkredyble guessing they couldnt use the jet from the movie in this toy line who knows highlander who knows

  • You're right those kids are easily impressed. This seemed to be part of the deal for old toy commercials, kids say "Wow" over EVERYTHING as though it's the coolest thing ever, no matter how trivial. One thing I LOVE about old toy commercials.

  • its like you canteven see the hands lol

  • I wish they sold playsets like the ones in these commercials.

  • i used to have the batman figure with the utility belt that could be used as a grappling claw

  • lol that batplane looks like a vacuumcleaner from my kitchen and sounds the same too

  • I wish I had the music to this.

  • Hey im getting a bike just like the one joker has in this ad. Except on the front its my face. That will scare those dam kids!

  • The old batman toys are better

  • Ah, yes, the Joker's trademark backpack copter.

  • Sadly, the boy who says "Wow!" at the start is now a high-ranking Taliban official (L.A. Times 9/18/08).

  • @SnorkelNose Oh my god.

  • That disguise fooled me /shrug....

  • This is the Sh!t

  • what happened to good toy commercials? they are socrappy now. I love ther set up for this commercial.

  • @199291931 ive got a Batman white from this collection jus for only $1.50 Dollars, so I wanna paint it to black color

  • i am going to make a set up like that for all of my batmobiles, batwings, and batboats..

  • 1989 just called.....they want their commercial back.

  • You mean 1990.

  • No,I mean 1989!The film was released on June 23 1989!The promotions for the toys aired even earlier than that. So go fuck your sister Mr.ooo look, I'm going to contradict this person with my already incorrect information, with intentions discredit his joke and make myself look more knowledgeable .I cant stand people like you.FUCK!

  • @SplitSpades11 Hey smartass, the toys released in 1989 were manufactured by Toy Biz. Kenner didn't release their Batman figures until the following year (1990). This video right here is an advertisement for the first line of Kenner models based off the movie. Hence, it's from 1990.

  • theses were remakes of the super powers line and if they wanted to stretch it out they should have added deathstroke, clayface, pre movie catwoman I know they made man bat point is they should have bitten the bullet and made more of the comic characters into figures heck bob the goon would have worked for the kenner line too.

think about in a sense the super powers line lasted a long time

  • How much do you think the producers of this show pay for kids to be in these commercials.

  • @Santaslayr They get paid in virgins

  • Woah!! I completely forgot I used to have that batjet! It's still cool looking batjet.

  • the good old days , i miss the 90s !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So do I.

  • What a rip! That batjet looks like a repaint of a silverhawks vehicle.

  • dude! i got that toy. its funny, i havent seen any toy commercial anymore.

  • I had the batmobile and the batwing good toys and very well made.

  • I wish I had this playset when I was young...

  • i wish i have them

  • cool..

  • I had the batman action figure and the batjet

  • I got that Batman for my birthday one year. Though I ended up losing the nylon cape two days later.

  • "That diguise won't work Joker!" No wonder it wouldn't, all he did was take the white make-up off of his face. He still had purple clothes and bright green hair! lol

  • lol, somehow puring water back on him puts his makeup back on

  • Actually...that was taking it off. The flesh tone skin is the make up.

  • huh, that doesnt make sense.

  • If you watch the first movie, it does. When Jack falls into the chemicals, it turns his skin white and his hair green. He changes his name to Joker. He then puts flesh tone makeup on over his white skin and dyes his hair black. In the movie, when he has his flesh makeup on and Vicki throws water in his face, at first she's terrified because it appears that his face is melting until he takes his hands off his face to reveal his white face and goes,"Boo! Hahaha!"

  • wow, huh, thats cool

  • Plus he changed right in front of him!!

  • @jmeister3000 Exactly.

  • those capes sucked

  • God, those old toy commercials kicked ass. What the fuck happened.

  • I still have that Joker cycle somewhere. Those were the days.

  • the film was an 18 when it was released and yet they are making toys based around the film for kids. lol

  • ahhhh man those were the days action figures were fuckin awesome

  • i used to have those.....the batjet was a reissue of the silverhawks jet. still kicked ass though!!

  • I had those too!

I loved that his face changed color

  • lol at 0:11 , jokers "disguise" suks, it just makes him look a bit sun-burnt

  • I use to have those toys, I miss my childhood memories.

  • i had both those toys !! and Penguin and catwoman

  • where's the Gotham City Building Block set, where you can build a large space on your floor, to give your figures somewhere to actually move around in - other than your living room carpet?

I always thought that was crap, when I saw commercials as a kid - "Yeah, but I only get the figures, no environment for 'em like in the ad, so I dont care".

  • haha yeh whenever i saw the commercials i always wanted the blocks n shit lol

  • Ya know when I was a kid, I made buildings for my figures from old boxes and VHS tapes.

  • Me too! For my WWF wrestling figures, I had a nice wrestling ring, but I made an arena complete with entrance curtain and stuff, out of cardboard with self-drawn art on it, and fabrics that looked nice.. Those were the days.

I guess your point is valid, I hadnt really thought of that. Being able to just buy it kind of takes away from your imagination.

  • I wish I still had that Joker-cycle.

  • Wow!!! I still have the batman figure!! The joker figure is gone, probably all broken up!! lol!!

  • Cool Joker turns african american!

  • @harveydent2 If you were black and lived in Gotham, you'd go whiteface too. :-P

  • i never had these but they look cool

  • I tracked these toys down on Ebay, and bought em.. The Color changing Joker is very rare and worth quite a bit now

  • What a disguise.

  • Ihave the joker toy and is it true that when you stick the joker toy in the water it be comes normal and when you stick it back again it be comes white

  • God, I remember getting that Joker figure and being totally elated for about a month afterward.

  • i never played with the stupid accesories that came with the figure.

  • I still have several Batman figures (from both this and the Toy Biz series), the Batmobile, and Batwing.

  • Oh, man. That brings back memories. I used to have that Joker cycle!

  • i love those commercials but i always got mad after i bought a toy when i was young because i wished that i could have my room set up like a city like in this commercial

  • omg! this is great. i used to have the joker cycle and the batmobile.

  • Please to explain how children playing with toys is of a homosexual nature, Canadian with a penchant for caps-lockery?

  • so are you

  • i had all the toys in this commercial plus the batmobile

  • cant get those in stores anymore

  • HAHA! Why couldnt the movie be more like this?!

MISSED ME! TIME FOR A CHANGE!!

Atleast Joker could have had his bike!

  • I want that enormous city playset.

  • Hell yeah

  • Ah man! I had that Batman fgure and the Batjet! Never had too many Joker toys though. I don't care what anybody says, I'd still play with those toys.

  • me too!

  • Jokers bike didnt appear in the film. Unfortunately....

  • O man I wish i had a straight up Black batman figure like that one. I only got all of his other costumes that had nothing to do with the film. still loved them though.

  • HOLY SHIT I HAD THOSE! Except for jokers bike. I remember the trigger for the bat wing to make the claws that grabs shit close was impossible to use. I would have to push it with my whole fist as if it was a stress bag.

  • I still have my Batman Returns Batman. He had a white suit.

  • ive got the catwoman figure from "batman returns" still in the box!!!

  • i had these toys when i was a kid but they would brake so easy .

  • anyone remember the batman/bruce wayne commercial where the joker flies with a bag with money??

    and batman with his batcycle??

  • I WANT THAT TOYS I HAVE A CHILD SOUL

  • Do you all know that the molds of these figures came from molds from the Super Powers Collection?

  • man those joker figures are rare as hell..

  • Good thing I have three of them.

  • I got one too! Put his face in cold water, and it becomes skin color! I had that Joker motorcycle too, but I don't think I have it anymore... Memories :)

  • I was bought this all!

  • ''each sold separately'' and ''bateries not included'' are most famous toy comercail phrases

  • heh my cousin had that face-changing joker

  • wish i had those

what bugs me though is why do they always have to pick kids doing annotying irritating voices? why can't they pick kids with voice talenst who are also interested and stuff like this?

  • I didn't know the Joker turned into a black man when he got wet.

    "SO LONG, BATMAN!"

  • Ah movie merchandise. Makes me wonder why they make them

  • I want a motorcycle with a giant copy of my face on it!

  • This comment made me laugh the hardest of anything today. Well played, sir.

  • i miss my toys!

  • OH DEAR GOD MY EYES!

  • cool! holy, i think remember this, particularly the part when the kid dunks jokers head in the water and his face turns brown. i still have that joker figure, but it is pretty wrecked. i want to buy it again, because it comes with that movie-acurate long gun. wish he came with a hat though.

  • I HAD THAT FIGURE!!!! *batman i mean*

  • looks like so much f un

  • It makes me laugh that back then all these toys came out as merchendice for a 15 rated movie (R for all you americans out there).

  • they changed i think though. that is kinda funny

  • These came out around the time of the Tim Burton's Batman Debut film Starring Michael Keaton, right???

  • yes

  • That Joker Bike is the coolest motorcycle ever!

  • That joker bike would have bike would be the shit even if it sucked at steering!

  • Lmfao! Joker cycle. That shit would be HELLA hard to steer in real life.

  • these are great......i still remember the packs and everything.....i wish i still had that batman.....

  • Man, I remember watching these and they'd build whole sets with little buildings and made it look so cool.

  • mate its not Two easily-impressed children theres only one kid there lol

  • sorry comentring agen but i like the joke-i-jetpack

  • i feel sorry for that sad kid

  • you should have called this batman vs the joker

  • I like the joker motorcycle

  • i had that joker toy when i was like 6 i usd to keep him in the refridgerator to make his face change color

  • i use to love the capes made outta cloth, but now they are plastic. that sucks

  • the figures shown here is rare today

  • dats because it wasnt the batwing..it was the "BatJet", toymakers intend to make things not shown in movies like da different suits nd vehicles..

  • What the? The Batwing never looked like that!

  • it's been a long time since 1990

  • Wow. I remember those.
