The commentary in this video is reduculous, if you didn't know any better it sounds like Penn State out played Ohio State, but we all know that's not what happened!!
@reduxlux It's a Penn State video, so there's going to be a little bias, but they do show both sides. I mean, it's not like they took just good Penn State plays and bad Ohio State plays and set it to yakety sax. But I think it does a great job showing how costly Penn State's leaky kick coverage was.
I think PSU is going to suprise bama with a great defense!
They always have a strong d! And I think royster is gonna have a hell of a year. How is it lookin for u at th qb spot? I still don't trust pryors arm. Oregon had a weak pass d and they weren't expecting him to throw that much. I just hope he doesn't make too many stupid desicions like he usually does!
@buckeyefan4321 I hope you're right, but I have a bad feeling that PSU is in for a horrific season this coming year, but if PSU wins at least 9 games I'll be thrilled. I'd love to see PSU upset Bama, maybe even surprise the Big Ten, but the QB situation and the linebacker situation scares me, plus the offensive line may not even be as good as last year's (which was hardly a solid unit). What are your predictions for the 2010 season?
@MauricXe Unfortunately, I think PSU only has one more win coming to them, that being a nailbiter over Indiana. I've been saying since spring that this team has 4-8 (1-7) written all over them. Biggest thing is, a young QB can't soften up defenses like Clark could, so we see how bad the PSU O-Line really is. Plus, the linebackers aren't up to Linebacker U par. With a depleted defensive front seven, the weaknesses of the secondary become more glaring than ever.
i thought that was a good video...special teams won the game for us...both defenses played very well and both offenses really didn't show up. Good luck against bama PSU! I'll be rooting for ya! That would be a huge win for the big 10!
@buckeyefan4321 Great comment, but I think more accurately both defenses cancelled out both offenses. I love defensive struggles (unless my team loses, like in this heartbreaker). Also, thanks for the support, I'll be cheering for your Buckeyes to downgrade Miami to Tropical Storm status. No, don't just defeat them, humiliate them, make them realize that they aren't back and never will be. I hope PSU beats Alabama, sadly, even though I'm a PSU fan, it's a long sho. Oh well, there's always 2011.
However, I've got to say that I think that Penn State Football Story's best videos are our losses, I enjoy watching them more than our victory ones, it's almost the same reason people love tragedies. It's entertaining, but leaves a bad taste in your mouth afterwards, but reminds you that sometimes you do everything you can, and still things go wrong, and you just need to bounce back. BTW, my only complaint is that it left out our drive after OSU went up 24-7 where we nearly made it 24-14.
@RequiemForABuckeye Biased? This shows your drives, our drives, and shows that you came out on top in a defensive struggle. Most highlight videos show one team. If you want to see biased, imagine a highlight video of this game, showing only PSU's good plays, OSU's bloopers, and set it to Yakety Sax to make it look like we absolutely killed you. But either way, it's called Penn State Football Story for a reason.
just want to let yall know bama is coming. were not going to need a goal line stand to beat yall this time. yall will be in the middle of football country and aren't going to know what to do. It's going to be the worst beating penn st has gotten in a long time. so ROLL TIDE and enjoy the offseason because yall will be starting next season with a L.
@crimsonblood1992 We'll be losing a lot of guys, but so will you. Penn State actually plays good against the SEC. If you're expecting to beat Penn State by a score like 52-3, think again, we don't lose by those kinds of scores. This won't be a game that's decided by halftime.
@MVillani1985 oh I'm not saying it's gonna be a blow out but bama will win by 3 td's by the end of the game. I'm sure yall will expose some weaknesses in our young defense at the start of the game but the 2nd half adjustments will be made and yall will be shut out the 2nd half. yall wont be able to stop our offense and our defense is going to be more talented next year then it was this year.
@crimsonblood1992 3 TDs, I wouldn't be surprised by, even 4 TDs, but I thought maybe you were expecting to do worse to us than Notre Dame in 2006 who used turnovers to build a 41-3 lead early in the 4th before calling off the dogs and letting PSU score a couple feelgood touchdowns (amazingly, PSU in 2006 turned out to be a good, but not great team). I think it'll be a lot like the 2000 Kickoff Classic where USC beat us 29-5. Hopefully PSU does better than 4-8 this year, though.

Anyways, I'm not surprised that you despise Penn State, it is a rivalry after all. It's what Penn State-Pitt used to be up until 2000 or 2001 (the two haven't played since 2000). If anyone asks me to define a successful season it requires three things - at least 10 wins before the bowl game, a bowl victory, and a win over Ohio State. If one component is missing, it's only a half-assed season.
I agree with that Penn State-Ohio State is a good rivalry, it seems to be really back and forth, no team has ever won more than four in a row in this one, which was first played in 1912 (but intermittently until 1993).
We need a trophy and a name for this battle for Great Lakes pride, I call it the Rust Belt Rivalry, and it needs a trophy that isn't as silly looking as the Land Grant Trophy or worse yet Northwestern-Illinois's new LOLTROFY that replaced the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk.
Man, these guys can make ANY game seem like a gem. Personally, I thought this game was awful, Penn State just flat out gave up after it was 24-7. That's the real unfortunate part of the game, because Iowa fought back from 24-10 to very nearly win the game, especially considering that Iowa had left some points on the field that day. I love the Nittany Lions, but if they are tied for the conference championship, they may be the worst conference champions this decade.
you can say that about ANY team about ANY game!! You can say they should've done it this way or that... OSU should've done a few things differently too. If they did it wouldn't have gotten close.
Should've... would've... could've... but didn't LOL
Lay off the laughing gas before the phone book starts sounding funny. The thing is about the Iowa-OSU game it ISN'T a bunch of shoulda coulda woulda crap, did you see all those missed short Daniel Murray field goals? That isn't about doing things differently, that's plain old bad luck. Yeah, I know luck's part of a game, but I wanted to show you it wasn't just "a few wrong plays". PSU-OSU was more bad plays by PSU, especially on special teams. Ray Small was your key player of that game.
no laughing gas needed LOL. i'm just naturally happy :D
back to the subject... it is exactly that "would've, should've, could've" ,,, according to you he "should've" made those field goals but didn't. Luck has nothing to do with it. It's preperation, practice, and nerves. one of those failed him.
Or like i used to do was blame the holder w/e i missed a field goal hahaha :D
Well, in time you'll learn that life is a tragedy, not a comedy. Nothing to laugh at but the misfortunes of your enemies. Anyways, it's not the "if only" argument because those were short field goals that he normally would have made, so yes, it is bad luck. As I said, fortune plays a hand in every game, the best teams can lose when luck turns sour (1996 OSU vs Michigan). I don't think it was anything that failed him but luck, even the best kicker kicks some "WTF" field goals (Mike Lantry 1974).
Did you see Sabino (#6 OSU) calling for a timeout at Penn State's Qb sneak at 2:28? He did that against USC too!

I would give anything to replace Meatchicken Rivalry for Penn State. I have always adored JoePa but can't stand PSU.
