i perfer discovery, because you dont eed a scope, the marauder needs a scope or else the speed reloader block you to see through the iron sight, thats why the marauder donts have ironsights, and the discovey has optic fiber, and its cheaper
could you tell me your honest oppinion here ? since you have both guns ,
i have now a tuned (1000+fps) .22 discovery , also a home made smooth stainles steel trigger. buidling a custom stock for it to
what advantages does the marauder have ? except for the fast reloading , i dont mind for that. i might get myself a marauder once my discovery is completely finished
@MrPrimesniper these are leapers, dirt cheap under $100 best bang for the buck. if you want a better scope you'd have to spend $250+ and usually those scopes are better but doesn't give you the same bang for the buck.
@paigow66 whats better about the 250dollar + ones for air rifles ?
i hade a 150`ish leapers on mine and it was great, mil dot , and zoom in .
now i have the walther ZF6X42 scope , and my god the view is amazing , very clear , only no mil dot , but thats only a minor thing, its way cheaper than the leapers
i have a .22 disco and m rod coming in soon. setting the disco up with the tko shroud and my leaper 3-9x50. most likly be the squirrel/chipper gun and set it in at 25yds
set the m rod up with the leapers 4-16x40 and sight it in at 35yds and use it for g hogs and targets. but im sure it will go rabbit and squirrel hunting alot.
keep the 2260 for back yard starling
im so pumped to get them in and start shooting, plus modding the disco will be fun
Dude are those scopes 50mm objective lens? Because the human eye can only utilize the extra light brought in by large objectives up to 40mm. After that, it makes no difference, it just takes up space, makes it heavy, and wastes money.
hey i now have this rifle in .22 cal got it sighted in for 60 yards and went hunting with it but every time i hit a squirrel it would hit it but not kill it so i went down to 40 yards and did the same thing i ever adjusted the power and i have had no luck any advise thanks
@OregonBackpacker discoveries isnt new the marauder is which comes with 1 clip. however you can buy after market clip mod for the disco for 8 shots. you can also buy single shot trays for marauder.
im looking for a pcp cus im pissed with having to cock my rifle while prone. and iguanas take a few shots normaly. but money is hard and the discovery is at the right price but i would injoy the silenced maraader and the accuracy(the trigger is another thing ) my spring gun isnt accurate cus of the jump it gives when fired. wich would be better to get the discovery or the marauder
@shooterdude12 the discovery only comes with a pump if you order it in a package that comes with a pump... you can order the marauder in a package with a pump as well, at least if you get it from pyramidair
hey sweet guns but where did you get the barrel band for the discovery because i think im going to get the discovery and and it seems like getting the secong band will be good. thanks!
The Disco with pump is a steal for someone entering the PCP market for the first time. If you already have a pump or plan on using HPA, you should spend a tad more and get the marauder. I like the Disco for beginners and easily recommend an upgrade further down the road. Already owning the Disco pump will make things cheaper in the long run. Just because someone has money doesn't mean they have to spend it....
yeah i'm deciding which one to get for this Christmas. i want to get the Marauder, but with the Air Venturi pump (which i hear is better than the Disco pump for the same price) and the Leapers 6-24x50 Varmint scope and mounts (same as in the vid :P) the rifle's price raises to a shade above 800 dollars so i'm not sure if i can afford all that. my other options are either a Beeman R9 or a Disco. which would you prefer? i like all of them, but mostly the Maudy and the R9
I have the Disco and Marauder and both guns are great. The Disco .22 kit is an absolute steal with pump for slightly above $300 (Google is your best friend) It's light weight so deserves a light scope of 13oz or less in my opinion. Great gun for the price. The Benj pump works fine if you go easy with it. It fills the Disco easily without breaking a sweat. If money is an issue get the Disco. However, the Maudy is a gun that can compete with a $1K rifle at half the price. I
Crap. I almost forgot to mention. The Disco is loud. Too loud for residential suburbs. If that's an issue go with a quieter rifle. I only have the following complaints about the Disco: noise, cheap stock, and single fire. All of these issues can be addressed with aftermarket mods. The stock looks great after applying some Tru-Oil. I left the rest at stock. I use the Maudy in my backyard and save the Disco for other terrain.
if money is a problem then don't even buy a PCP. once you do you will always start buying things to make it better and more convenient. you'll get a pump and get tired of pumping, then a cheap tank and get tired of taking that with you so you'll buy a lighter tank and so on. just stick with the springers if you want to save money. but if you do you won't get as accurate of a rifle, or a 10shot mag and so on
i perfer discovery, because you dont eed a scope, the marauder needs a scope or else the speed reloader block you to see through the iron sight, thats why the marauder donts have ironsights, and the discovey has optic fiber, and its cheaper

wow 32fp out of the box is awesome
since i just checked the chart most small game is <25fp
medium game anything bigger than a fox 25-41fp
big game of course 41fp and up
i guess 32 is nice on a squirrel
my springer is only 20fp

both guns are available in both calibers. although you should probably stick with .22 since these are intended as hunting rifles

no the stock Benjamin pump uses the same fitting in both the Discovery and Marauder so there's no adaptors you need to buy.
