HI, DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY A 3.5MM TO DOUBLE MINI-USB LIKE THE CABLE IN THIS VIDEO TO JOIN THE 2 SPEAKERS TOGETHER? AS MY CABLE IS FAULTY AND DOES NOT ALLOW BOTH SPEAKERS TO PLAY AND I CANNO'T BE BOTHERED WITH THE HASSLE OF HAVING TO RETURN IT. THANKS.

is it possible to 'blow' these speakers up by turning the volume too high?

I connect the mini max 2 to my mp3 player, but I am afraid to hurt the speakers by setting the volume on max; it is very loud then.

these little things are epic, nothing compares to to them in the world, best thing is the connector cables which means unlimited loudness!

lol - there was a constant problem with another shops theft alarm the day we filmed that - lost count of the amount of takes ruined by it. In the end, we just ignored it :)

Yes - basically, the hardware is 2 * X mini 2s, so they output 5W as opposed to 2.5w.

Hi there, they are not comparable, as the X Mini Max 2 costs much more. It's the stereo version of the X Mini 2, so there are twice as many speakers - so you could say it's twice as good!

Does the mini max2 bounce like the mini2

We wouldn't suggest trying to bounce any piece of electronics! The X Minis aren't marketed as shockproof, so if you go bouncing them off the deck, they might not last as long as they should! That said, the speaker is easily as well built as the mono X Mini 2, if not slightly more so.

Do these sound better in terms of bass and sound, than two 2nd gen x mini's connected together?

Yes. The chassis design is slightly different, so produces better bass. Whilst the drivers and amplification is the same, if you listen back-to-back, there is a definite difference (you can do this yourself at the AMP3 store in Edinburgh if you're nearby)

I've been researching for weeks for good portable speakers. About a week and a half ago I stumbled upon the X mini series and loved the idea.I was prepared to purchase the X mini Max when I heard these were coming out. Now that they are out I am SO gingt get them. Thanks.

How Is The Bass On These Compared To The Sony Ericcson MPS-70 Speakers?

Thanks to the expanding bass chambers (they really do make a difference) we find these better than something like the MPS-70 by quite a margin.

You're not going to get earth shattering bass from tiny speakers, no matter what you do, but these are really impressive for the size.
