No they weren't, but they were very good. If DBE had given the final battle the kind of range depicted here I don't think you'd be saying that, but DBE worked with a cheap, very small set.

The effect here I loved most was the rock smash. I'm not sure if that was taken from pre-existing footage, but if the maker did that himself, I'm more than curious to know what was involved in doing so.
