The reenactors follow the script and put on the show for the public and for the site. In many cases there are not enough reenactors present to take a lot of casualties, if so then the battle would be a 5 minute skirmish. Remember, it is not always about us. If you don't like the format, the road that lead you will take you home.

WOW, all this time I thought Cherry Valley happened on a snowy day in Nov, and was Natives and Butler's Rangers. This looks like it was done in July and you have Redcoats and Royal Artillery and a whole bunch of folks who need to shave

I can give you a bit of credit, but remember these people are unpaid, use their own kit and equipment. If your setting up the event, don't invite those whos impression upsets you. Otherwise turn your offended eye or you can offer to pay the reenactors, then you can dictate what you believe to be accurate.

Regrettfully, there are only so many units around that portray certain things and they are not always available for any given reenactment... so reenactors have to make due with the units that vote to attend.
