Why would something that is perfect, like god, require us to worship him? If something is indeed perfect, then it doesn't need, want, or require anything. This makes absolutely no sense.
@EvidenceMinistries then he's not really perfect then, is he? Again, if something is "perfect" then it's totally complete. It doesn't require, need, want, desire, etc, anything whatsoever. Think about it.
@evelsteev- You are equating a requirement with need. The two are not the same. If you look at the rules on my channel, those are basically REQUIREMENTS that I have placed upon those who comment here. I do not NEED anyone to follow them to make me complete. If they don't follow them, then bye-bye. The same thing applies to God. He REQUIRES our worship as a condition of our relationship with Him. He does not NEED it to be complete.
Quick question for Evidence Ministries : Regardless on our difference in view about that nature of God, let's just ask the question back. Why does God require YOUR worship? Isn't he all-powerful?
I am going to assume the answer you give will have common parallels to ours.
Again, you're asking stuff that only god knows dude; I don't know maybe he's not all that different from us and realizes that his power derives from the importance his followers give him, or maybe it's all part of the test he's putting us through, to put us through the right process to understand the divinity of his position. That's a great question though, I don't think that hinders Mormonism at all I would love to ask that to my bishop.
But your probably saying right now hold on. In John 10: 30-35 Christ said the phrase about one. But he also said Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Christ was quoting Ps 82:6. To me this video is just another ply of the Anti Mormons and the short understanding of the Mormon religion.
What is the highest form of Worship? Jesus through the scriptures said to do all these things otherwise imitate him. Otherwise worship Christ because he is the way or the example we should follow to achieve God hood. Your probably like wait a sec right now. Christ said so many times I and my Father our one. But in the Garden Gethsemane Christ prays that we become one with the Father like he is. What did Christ become after he ascended into heaven to his Father?
If my father is a more developed me, why do I owe him my reverence and respect? I know you mean these questions to be serious, Keith, but some of them seem pretty flippant and ill-conceived. This one can be answered with a half-baked analogy to one's earthly father.
You give more respect & praise to the bookofmormon and Joseph Smith than you do the almighty God.

The whole concept of lds church meetings are limited to a persons performance and conforming to the law.
You believe that repentance, temples, laws and ordinances and paying Jesus back for his sacrifice will remove your sins. Have you arrived at perfection yet?
Repentance will although the rest is apparently you making a list of buzzwords and tying it to something unrelated, proving my premise that you don't know what you're going on about.
Of course we haven't arrived at perfection yet; what an absurd question. Perfection comes some while after the end of mortal life as there has been precisely one Man who achieved perfection while alive.
Do you mean "require" as in it is meant to fill some need of his? Or "require" as in it is meant for us to be saved? If you mean the first, Mormons do not believe that. If you mean the second, he requires it so that we can be saved. That said, all of your lead-up to the question does not make sense. Anyway, I worship him because he is God, my Eternal Father.
@EvidenceMinistries He requires worship BEACUSE he's god? Being all powerful automatically makes the being right? If the incredible hulk were real, he would be right, no matter what?
But again, why does a perfect being, who is supposedly flawless, "require" us to worship him inorder to be saved? Because if we don't obey him, we go to hell forever. If he didn't really want us to worship him, then why does he send us to hell for NOT worshiping him? Think about it.

@EvidenceMinistries So why does it matter if we follow him or not? A perfect being doesn't need anything, you want or need something, that means you lack something.
@EvidenceMinistries So why does it matter if we follow him or not? A perfect being doesn't need anything, you want or need something, that means you lack something. Sure, you can still desire something even if you don't need it, but what would be the point? It makes no sense.

The lds priesthood is outright theft from the Jews. "Jesus" is the only high priest. Not only was the priesthood stolen, but their names and cities where stolen by Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon.
Believe me when I tell you this. Zion and the tops of the mountains is NOT Satl Lake City and the Garden of Eden was NEVER in Missouri.
Out of curiosity, precisely HOW do you steal authority from someone? I don't even think that's possible.
...OK, names and cities were "stolen"? Are you seriously so dim that you think using a proper name for a person or location for another person or location is THEFT?
Why would I believe you, pray tell? Unless you know where the Garden of Eden was, I'm curious as to how you know where it was not.
Maybe he needs an ego adjustment every so often? I think that Mormonism is Satanism is another disguise. Satan wanted worship to be directed away from God, and toward him, so if he can't do this directly, he will do it indirectly by fooling people into believing that they can be gods.
He requires our worship because... He's God.

If your son or daughter can become a good parent, then why does he or she need to listen to and take counsel from you?
We our the children of God. And if children; then heirs of God, and joint heirs of Jesus Christ.

I meant "require" in neither option that you pose. God requires our worship because He is God and we are not... and never will be.

After finding the truth I thought the anger would subside over the years.
Well it hasn't.
The blasphemous mormon priesthood gestapo must be torn down to ruin.
Only the Lord can do this.

The lds church never stole any authority from anyone. The early leaders stole the names and used it as a fake authority.

Stole the names of what? And what does that have to do with authority? Authority doesn't come from using the right words.
