Why would something that is perfect, like god, require us to worship him? If something is indeed perfect, then it doesn't need, want, or require anything. This makes absolutely no sense.

@evelsteev- You are equating a requirement with need. The two are not the same. If you look at the rules on my channel, those are basically REQUIREMENTS that I have placed upon those who comment here. I do not NEED anyone to follow them to make me complete. If they don't follow them, then bye-bye. The same thing applies to God. He REQUIRES our worship as a condition of our relationship with Him. He does not NEED it to be complete.

Quick question for Evidence Ministries : Regardless on our difference in view about that nature of God, let's just ask the question back. Why does God require YOUR worship? Isn't he all-powerful?

I am going to assume the answer you give will have common parallels to ours.

Again, you're asking stuff that only god knows dude; I don't know maybe he's not all that different from us and realizes that his power derives from the importance his followers give him, or maybe it's all part of the test he's putting us through, to put us through the right process to understand the divinity of his position. That's a great question though, I don't think that hinders Mormonism at all I would love to ask that to my bishop.

What is the highest form of Worship? Jesus through the scriptures said to do all these things otherwise imitate him. Otherwise worship Christ because he is the way or the example we should follow to achieve God hood. Your probably like wait a sec right now. Christ said so many times I and my Father our one. But in the Garden Gethsemane Christ prays that we become one with the Father like he is. What did Christ become after he ascended into heaven to his Father?

The whole concept of lds church meetings are limited to a persons performance and conforming to the law.

You believe that repentance, temples, laws and ordinances and paying Jesus back for his sacrifice will remove your sins. Have you arrived at perfection yet?

Do you mean "require" as in it is meant to fill some need of his? Or "require" as in it is meant for us to be saved? If you mean the first, Mormons do not believe that. If you mean the second, he requires it so that we can be saved. That said, all of your lead-up to the question does not make sense. Anyway, I worship him because he is God, my Eternal Father.

But again, why does a perfect being, who is supposedly flawless, "require" us to worship him inorder to be saved? Because if we don't obey him, we go to hell forever. If he didn't really want us to worship him, then why does he send us to hell for NOT worshiping him? Think about it.

The lds church never stole any authority from anyone. The early leaders stole the names and used it as a fake authority.

Maybe he needs an ego adjustment every so often? I think that Mormonism is Satanism is another disguise. Satan wanted worship to be directed away from God, and toward him, so if he can't do this directly, he will do it indirectly by fooling people into believing that they can be gods.
