However, the writers set the stage for a sequel. The man with the "camera" who was shot was not the stalker. The stalker is the man who was sending her the letters. He is a man with platinum blond hair and we see him at least three different times, including when Frank is being carried to the ambulance. In other words, Frank's job really isn't finished and she is still in grave danger. That, they will realize later.

frank waiting till the last minute and doing a human shield may seem theatrical but that is how bodyguards train. He had to wait to be sure portman was the only shooter. Also did anyone else get that his tackling of rachel tied in nicely with his past as a college football star. LOve thomas aranas hair also.
In my opinion its likely portman was working for the Mob. Theyre the one stop shop for contract killings. If he didnt kill rachel hed most likely be killed himself. Also from his attitude he seemed a very vain morbid asshole with some long standing jealousy of Farmer. Beating frank and taking away the woman he loved was more important than whatever nikki payed him.
He wanted to wait till Rachel got onstage IN FRONT OF EVERYONE (Especially the people watching at home) so they could see her get shot. That's why he waited so long to kill her. He really could've killed her at any given moment in the movie but Kevin Costner said the moment when the killer finally comes after her is supposed to be a "High" moment in her career and that moment was her winning an Oscar. Hope that makes since!

Gosh when he took the bullet I cried so hard I was crying time the end even though I knew it would happen. But I cried harder in the movie Remember Me I cried so hard while watching that that I was shaking for 45 minutes straight
this movie is all the more sadder once you think about what a mess Houston has become caurtesy of letting fame get to her head and the attendant drug-booze problems.. she had such insane voice now she sounds and looks like smth the cat has dragged from the gutter...
Horrid movie. Glad I waited this long to see it. There was no plot. I knew who it was way before remember Miami? The movie had the chance to be something special too. The best part? The guy who played Franks Dad! That was a shocker.

The lyrics clearly say that she would "only stand in his way." (The implication is--in white America.)

frank waiting till the last minute and doing a human shield may seem theatrical but that is how bodyguards train. He had to wait to be sure portman was the only shooter. Also did anyone else get that his tackling of rachel tied in nicely with his past as a college football star. LOve thomas aranas hair also.

In my opinion its likely portman was working for the Mob. Theyre the one stop shop for contract killings. If he didnt kill rachel hed most likely be killed himself. Also from his attitude he seemed a very vain morbid asshole with some long standing jealousy of Farmer. Beating frank and taking away the woman he loved was more important than whatever nikki payed him.

He wanted to wait till Rachel got onstage IN FRONT OF EVERYONE (Especially the people watching at home) so they could see her get shot. That's why he waited so long to kill her. He really could've killed her at any given moment in the movie but Kevin Costner said the moment when the killer finally comes after her is supposed to be a "High" moment in her career and that moment was her winning an Oscar. Hope that makes since!

The hate letters started coming from either the white haired crazyman or from an undiscovered crazy person. When they began to arrive, Nicky got encouraged to feel the same way & she hired a hitman. Portman was the professional hitman that wrote more crazy letters to make people believe the hit was from some crazy fan.

Gosh when he took the bullet I cried so hard I was crying time the end even though I knew it would happen. But I cried harder in the movie Remember Me I cried so hard while watching that that I was shaking for 45 minutes straight

Horrid movie. Glad I waited this long to see it. There was no plot. I knew who it was way before remember Miami? The movie had the chance to be something special too. The best part? The guy who played Franks Dad! That was a shocker.

..2, because they both lead very different lives.. she's a famous singer always on tour..etc.. and all his life is being a bodyguard .. and he never stays with one client.. he get's "lazy feet", as he says in the beggining...

@rellenoz Me too. I think Whitneys presence, her cuteness and innocence, the love you can see in her eyes, have made the movie, that's why people wnat to see it over and over again. Eventhough Kevin is a great actor, I think he was somewhat blund, too low profile and passive. I watch the movie to see her.

Besides, considering Christina's inexperience, she'll be given plenty of time to do some training and research for the role.
