I was at this screening and I've got to say it was the most incredible cinema experience I've ever been to, bar none. Future Cinema's vision of the Watchmen was so vivid, it was like being inside Alan Moore's mind! The characters looked great and when Dave Gibbons walked through the curtain I couldn't believe it. Hats off to the guys who put this on- can't wait for the next one!
The movie was so great... even if the story was directly based on the books, I still like it, because that's what I'd always wanted. When I was reading the book, I so wanted what was told inside book to be real and happens in real life... and the film made it true for me... though it was not really "real"...
I love the book, but the movie was more a simple transfer of the story to the screen--it seemed to lack the heart and soul of the graphic novel that made it so powerful.
And yeah, while I think the first couple trailers were among the best I've ever seen, they could have emphasized the disturbing nature of the film and the deconstruction of superheroes a bit more in their marketing. A LOT of people were aghast at how often Dr. Manhatten was naked.
A fantastic film. It's too bad so many people who never read the book keep bringing it down because they were expecting a popcorn flick akin to Spider Man.
I enjoyed it because it wasn't a popcorn flick. BTW I never heard that term before but its so fitting of films like Spiderman! Watchmen was a thinking film. Most people don't like to think I'm beginning to notice.
this movie was a pointless piece of shit with washed up wannabes.. thers notin super about those fags. just funny lookin people with fucked up problems. wasted a perfectly good movie ticket..
yea, fuck you. like u know was a proper movie is anyways. U like watchin heroes raping heroes and heroes ranting for hours.. then by all means watch to ur miniature brain's content.
I hate it. This is the Soundtrack from "Koyaanisquatsi"!. Damn, thats like to start up Dallas with the Bond Theme. First the asshole rape history with booring "300", and now this....argh
that movie was a piece of crap. if i wanted to watch drama queens, id flip on Days of Our Lives or Grey's Anatomy. This is supposed to be a super hero movie.. IT WASNT.
*Ahem*Bullshit

its from DC comics. DC comics only make SUPERHERO comics. Superman and Batman might be a couple to consider.
