Checking quads isn't unheard of, it's called slowplaying. The donk part is that she had a gigantic hand and she didn't do anything even though she had position and the chances that he has a better hand are so miniscule they're almost nonexistent

Well said. It really matters on whether the player knows what he's doing and how he intends to play it. A pro calling a medium-sized bet on the flop with a flush draw on the button is a good play if he plans to confuse his opponent or make a play on the turn and/or river, but a donk calling because he thinks he can't let 4 suited cards go is a bad play. It's the same thing technically, but the insight and intelligence involved in the action differentiate between pro and fish.

Maybe he shouldn't have been in that hand facing a preflop raise with 10, 8 suited. Thats what messed her up. She figured he must have had a high pair.
10-8 suited is a playable hand that you can call a preflop raise with. Especially 6 handed. He gets the right flop and he can get all her money. For all he knows, she could have middle pocket pair, AK, AQ, AJ, KQ etc. There's so many hands that he could put her on with her continuation bet and checking the turn and river. There's no way anyone at that table put her or Patrick on JJ vs. KK and that's why everyone at the table lost complete respect for her and are thinking WTF?!
Ha! Quite interesting that I'm brought back to this because of the comment from the guy below. After continuing my poker education I realise 10,8 suited is an ideal hand to call a preflop raise with, cos if you hit it you are busting the person with the big pair!
He called a 3x raise with T-8 s in the SB , to prevent a steal by the button. But once that flop came, he had no idea where he was in the hand and her raise only confused him more (was she value betting, making a continuance or still bluffing?). He should've realized his pair had little chance of winning and he should have folded to her raise. He got lucky that his opponent didn't know how to bet a big pair pre-flop, didn't know how to bet a set on the flop, and gave him free cards after that.
