WE never placed him there we gave him NO major weapons. In fact 98% of Iraq's weapons came from Com-Bloc countries Primarily Russia. The only weapons we gave him here were Jupiter series ICBM's that were37 years old and were not guaranteed to function properly.

I was 3 years old but I can remember my mother being up tight every day because my day was a CO in the 1st Cavalry at the time.I also remember how bad Fort Hood Texas.And having my first real memory of my father when he returned from the war and hugged me.Yeah I cried!

Brings back alot of memories. I have a scrapbook of headlines from the First Gulf War, I'll have to dig it up & look at it again after viewing this. I was barely starting my 2nd semester of 7th grade when this happened.

it was the 2nd gulf war (to get kuwaits oil, 1990-1991)...
in the first gulf war (1980-1988), america used iraq to attack iran, after the first attacks failed, america send components of chemical weapons, which saddam used against kurds too, but the war was not to win...
in the 3rd gulf war (actual war in iraq, started in 2003), america "searching" for this weapons, but is was a fact that this weapons were destroyed long before, so now its a war vs terror.

wow, your misguided. america had nothing to do with iraq-iran war. you also seem to dumber than a door nail if you think that america was the only country to supply iraq. many european countries aided saddam. germany actually gave iraq the technology to produce their own stuff. WMD's were found in iraq in 2004. google: mustard gas found in iraq

i know that america was not alone with their interests, but the fact is that 24 firms of 50 were from usa, which had know-how in atomar, bilogical, and chemical weapons. they were in iraq sind 1975, 5 years before war.

? not sure i understand what that has to do with the price of tea in china? like i said "many countries were involved" less than half was america. i wonder if russia gave any to iran? how do you know what those firms did? were you there? saddam used that on his own helpless people. that's why he's now dead.

i dont have time to discuss with guys who think the first gulf war was in 1991, pls learn history, i know thats not a big part in usa education system, but this is ur problem, not mine. fact is, without amercias interests in this region, saddam would be dead long time before.
