Well, with head-on closing speeds of 180mph (120+60), I can tell you that the oncoming traffic will be on top of you before they hear your siren or respond to it. All for a minor drug bust?

Notice the officer doing 100+ mph into oncoming traffic, whats worse, an officer hitting a minivan at those speeds head on, or some dumbass with meth? The only person the biker would kill in that chase is himself. Sure an accident didn't happen, but why endanger the lives of the people you are sworn to protect? Theres much more effective methods of dealing with situations like that.

There are too many things wrong with this chase, first of all you don't chase a bike because it only causes more of a problem than letting him get away, second, you don't spike strip a bike because you can kill the motorcyclist like that, third, you don't use the PIT maneuver on a bike, friggin idiot cops wherever this is.

Laaaame. That guy was a terrible rider. He had plenty of opportunity to break away on those long sweeping roads. That bike could have banked off way harder on the turns than the trooper patrol unit. But, he sucked and had no sport riding skills. The squid couldn't even corner properly. It was just sad watching him totally under-negotiate that final turn. No game whatsoever.

I will retract the comment I made about the officers in Catawaba County being pricks, I was out of line. Most of the "deputies" are cool officers, and most of the city officers are good guys. However, they are a few officers that "lets the badge go to their heads."
I think part of what he was doing was playing games with the cops because at one point half way through, he slowed way down and it looked like he was waiting for the cop to catch up to keep chasing him. If he had ridden balls out the entire time, the cop would have lost sight of him eventually and he would have gotten away. The idiot was probably playing games with the cop which is why the dumb ass got caught and got what he deserved.
I have to come back a couple times a year and compliment the sheriff on his diving skill. Sheriff Crazy Glue.
