dont use plastic washers has it still allows the m/b to flex, use spring washers under neath and 2 metal washer (5mm) on top..it works a treat when tightening up the bolts under neath just tighten them till the spring washer closes and thats it...job done...ps you dont need artic paste just ordinary pc cpu paste will do..
Did this mod, and it worked. When we first fired it up, went to the e74 screen. I unplugged the fan and turned it on again and e74, unitl it over heated, different red part flashing. Unplugged it, and hit it with my hair dryer on cool till totaly cooled off. Turned it on and showed overheating screen. Restarted and everything works now.
@nszugyi yeah overheating is not the best for the unit but most of the time it will remove cold solder points in the cpu, gpu, nand, south bridge and more. thanks for watching...
Thanks for this video. It's nice to see the fans modded for 12V output. If I may make a suggestion for future productions, though, try to detach the audio from the source video—it sometimes conflicts with hearing your voice clearly. Regardless, I appreciate this fix, and especially that it's a proper fix, not stupid towel tricks.
@HansonHacks Just for example, at 1:18. When you unplug the cables from the disc drive, the noise from it makes it a little difficult to hear your voice. I am, however, pretty hard of hearing, so it could definitely be just me. I've just learned that only having your voice as the audio in these types of videos tends to be clearest to the viewer.
@topvaluemarketing Haha you are repeating yourself mate. You lose ahaha You still dont realize its about the money and as you said the best way to repair an xbox is to do a reflow with a Reball/reflow station. I understand that. And as I said no one can afford a proper machine. Which you said you NEED TO HAVE. lol. Its funny because your life is over. Mine just started. And you have nothing to show from your life ahaha. Loser... I'm not replying to you anymore so dont bother...

There fucking fake, your were doing a 'dragon case mod'. and you make the so called 'winner' make a testimonial who looks exactly like the guy in the draw vid!
@HansonHacks thanks for the roast... made my night :) Hes just jealous of your work... I didnt get much new knowledge on the subject of the video(bc gpu arnt a n00b thing to me) but it wasn't bad like other ones on youtube. so I give you kudos. Only fyi watch out for static discharge, with you hands and the tools, always use gloves or touch you hand on the al casing. As for the paste PLZ be smart and used articsliver.... spend the extra $3 :)
@TriskaidekaPunk cheers bud, yeah i always touch the chassis for the xbox before i touch the motherboard. also I agree with using arctic silver but I cant buy it locally only silicone thermal paste, so i just wanted to finish the tut quickly cause im quite busy (unlike 'HGC Fagot'). but i ordered a large tube of it, which has lasted a while.
@HansonHacks That kid dues not even live in California and I do not do Fake like you! I am trying to stop all the fake as bull shit you all have been repeating like parrots for the last 6 years because no one would spend the time to tell you the truth! And now half of you morons actually believe this shit! And the ones that know the truth do not want to lose money and want to hide the truth!
@HGCGamersClub Well I have to ask. What is the truth ? go on feel free to tell the world, now that you have embarrassed yourself with that protest of yours, you better explain the so called 'truth'. Because you haven't yet uploaded a video of the 'truth' that I know of. As I said this is about money, and no one will spend $500 on a reball station. But I WOULD expect it at a local business, so that is the only thing I agree with. In the end you dont know what you are talking about, honestly...
@HansonHacks The truth is you have no electronics background other than you learned on YouTube and I have actual military component level electronic background, the truth is if you over heat your Xbox using its own power you will cause 60 times more damage to the solder than you had before you started and risk burning out the chips them self’s, the truth is bolts permanently damage or kill your Xbox NOTE: You are the only one that don’t know what they are talking about hear honestly…
@HansonHacks I am not telling everyone to go out and buy a $900 BGA Welder; I am telling them that there are “idiots like you” out there that absolutely do not know what the hell they are talking about! And just Repeating like PARROTS a bunch of (Bull shit) “That will remove any and all possibility of a lasting reflow or even repair” Without a total re-ball of all the chips on the “F”ing Xbox! Or a chip replacement from Burn out! And if bolts are used all that may even no longer be a option!
@HansonHacks You say I have not uploaded a video of the truth; what you are actually saying is I have not shown you how to actually repair them the right way and you are mad because I make you look like the total asshole you are for showing and charging kids for your BullShit Repairs! I Do show the truth on my channel! If you had bothered to watch my videos Hell! I even gave you all a cheap way to get proper training on the right way to repair the Xbox and all other Game systems++.
@HansonHacks You should go in to making video introduction as that is the only thing I see on your whole video that I like! The rest is total bull shit garbage!
You have no idea of my electronics background. and I don't know your's, but you say you have military component level electronic background but i know they don't have xbox's in the military also it is very different And before I started all this I did my research and this was the best way to do it and for the right price. I KNOW HOW IT ALL WORKS. Don't be so judgmental. Also don't say It will overheat, that's exactly what the 12v fan mod is for. why do you keep repeating what I say...
@HGCGamersClub The reason why people apparently keep "Repeating like PARROTS" is because this repair actually does work and you are underestimating it. otherwise so many people wouldn't be doing it. I don't think you are making me look like a asshole at all. barely anyone will read through all these comments. also you are apparently a retired military super man. that has children yet you are arguing with a 16yr old about xbox's and going on protests for it. hahaha you my friend are a tard.
What??! I'm not charging any "kids" for this repair nor anything else xbox related. so your wrong again. why would I have watched your videos anyway I have found a way that works perfectly and I know of the other ways but cannot afford it as i said. Tell me the name of the video that is the so called truth. I have alot of patience but I am sick and tired of arguing with you. You wont convince me otherwise and I'm happy for you to express yourself in all that time you have sitting at home.
@HGCGamersClub I thought you said to me that your not trying to tell people to buy a $900 Re-ball station? 17:05 of your "YouTube Repair verses BGA" Video. Also your not meant to tap on the damn thing while it is hot. and you need to actually let it cool longer before you turn it on. If you had 'experience' you would know that. Nothing you have told me is making me believe you are right, so i will not waste any more of my time on someone who will not prove me otherwise.
@HansonHacks How thick is your scull? if you are a repair man you should be using a BGA Welder if you are not you should be taking it to a person how at least has a BGA Welder that is not using bolts! If you do any of these bull shit repairs like you show it will damage the Xbox and require you to replace it soon after I know your type you can give a shit less and are unwilling to learn the truth after learning a lye so good by good luck and good reddens. Then block me so i can not reply
@HansonHacks You blocked me so I cannot reply that shows me that you are a deceitful person if you say someone is wrong then point out things on a video then block them so they cannot reply it only makes you look bad! Because it looks like you do not want to be wrong even though we all know you are.
@Xboxsarerepairable You blocked me the last time I proved you wrong dumb ass, thats why I didn't post it on your video because I was blocked hahaha HYPOCRITE so all of what you said in that last message is what you are, and your the one pointing things out on videos. It's either do this repair or spend over $100 on either one. if I didn't give a shit less then I wouldn't be talking to you right now. Your not going anywhere by talking to me, other youtubers or going on protests?? hahaha tool. bye

You know thats theres GND connections under the PSU right?
i say just put a 120mm fan on the side of the xbox, thatll make a total of 3 fans instead of 2.
i cut a hole, took a 200mm fan and put on the side of the xbox and had that run off the psu, and my xbox is jtagged so i ran the internal fans at top speed (no wiring needed)
@HansonHacks Your video is the biggest crock of hors shit I have seen and will 100% remove any chance at a lasting repair using the right equipment or just kill the Xbox flat out and should be removed if you had any man balls you would admit your mistakes and remove this video
@HGCGamersClub ok, well i honestly don't understand what your trying to do, are you jealous? 'crock of hors shit' ? 'man balls' ? haha ok... you say 'using the right equipment' the right equipment can cost hundreds of dollars im very sure people would rather buy a brand new one, I know I would (i am soon). I know a better way to do this but who wants to waste money one a reball station? Admit my mistakes? Kill the xbox ?. Grow up, this is xbox's were talking about! aww poor old man : (
@HansonHacks Wow? That was the stupidest comment I have ever almost understood? So what you are saying is it is ok if you fuck kids out of $60 buck and give them back an Xbox that will not last more than a week or two. But it is not ok for me to offer cash to help spared the word about (you) that’s right I said "you"
@HGCGamersClub mhmm, fuck kids? you would like that.. anyway I haven't fixed xbox's for anyone, i bought a couple broken ones off ebay to keep for myself but never serviced any for a customer. never last more than a week or two? well thats ridiculous i'm using that same xbox in the video right now. Stop trash talking man. please your just embarrassing yourself. no one will give you 20 dollars for your "Mega giveaway" do you realize it costs less for the lotto?
@HansonHacks you are joking right the odds of winning the lotto is 175,000,000 to 1 my giveaway gives you a 3 out of 500 and the actual odds of winning $250,000.00 is 1 out of 700 but with your stubborn self centered attitude and total lack of caring for your viewers evident by your videos showing how to damage a Xbox I will bet you do not do so well in school because you do not even know basic math when it comes to odds so say what you want it will not change the truth.
@HGCGamersClub ok, we'll see, when are you giving away that money i can't wait! lack of caring for my viewers hahaha WTFuuuuck! oh yeah I make videos for people because a haaate them! Stop trying to talk smart. Stubborn self centered attitude? Why ? Why? Why??? im trying to help people dumb ass. What do you mean i dont know the basic maths, how the fuck would you know? Just so you know, the lottery makes their money from tickets, are you saying you will make 250,000,000 from your video? wow
Learn the truth behind the Xbox Red lights from someone ho knows come view my videos get chances to win Xboxes 100% free and even win a total repair shop and I have just begun! I will even give you a shot at $250,000.00 that is right one quarter of a million US Dollars is up for grabs just to stop you from killing your Xbox with fake repair kits like the one shown on this video!
@HGCGamersClub why hello, yeah man just checked out your video, stop being a try-hard you fucking pensioner fuck, i can see you have the time but no one gives a shit about your videos mofo. no one will evaaar go to your videos because your offering 375.000 thousand dollars, if you do have that money buy yourself a holiday a house and a Lamborghini. people dont have time or money for the probational way, and I know how to reball BNA chips, but i have common sense that people wont be able to do it
Here is how I fix Red Ring of Death: I grab my AK-47 and my smith & wesson and put a few hundred rounds into it. But sometimes i'll do videos of smashing them with a sledge hammer too.
all good but please dont put bolts in your xbox that is not nessecary and if you do repair alot of xboxs then please dont overheat that crap way reflow with a profesional station
@TheHowToGuy18 Bolt kits exist for a reason and are very necessary as the heatsink's are not pulling towards the chassis. as were the xclamp is screwed onto the chassis which brings the motherboard towards the chassis by pulling the heatsinks inwards bending and creating cold joints. and yes i know using a pro station for reflowing is much better, but a quick warm up without the fan is not so bad and will help remove or stabilize Any cold joints. And not many people have the money for a station.
@HansonHacks so you just want people to have the money to buy a new xbox after they do this a couple of times and that is why you put nylon washers with the x clamps.
@HansonHacks you said kids dont have the money for a real repair or professional reflow station so if they dont have that money then when they do your repair it will only last maybe a week then they do again and eventually wont work and they have to spend money you said they dont have on a new xbox.
Also did you happen to take any photos of your wiring and pin placements on the motherboard? I couldnt really see where the other end of the pin connector was put/hotglued at
@RICEY702 Hey mate, thanks for your comments. Everything should be there. but i dont know which end you are talking about. either the cables from the fan or cables from the power and ground source... Thanks
@elle552 Yeah mate, i showed the "long Positive wire" at 10:27 and I even showed me soldering the negative at 7:17 I extended the fan wires with WIRE!! lol
Where did you get the two pin connector at? I like the way you did the 12v mod. Much cleaner compared to the way I did it. Plus I used the dvd drives power which wasnt really a good idea in the end
@Biake22 It means the CPU is overheating, just stop the fan going to the flat heatsink (GPU) not the fan going to the tall one (CPU) if its doing what you say its doing its one/some of the solder balls on one of the chips e.g. South bridge, anh chip, CPU, GPU Etc. So you will need to reflow or reball. and you can reflow getto style by stopping one of the fans...
So I had E74 and I removed the Xclamps and the Xbox 360 works now, but when I start it up the Xbox logo is fuzzy along with my avatar. What did I do wrong? ty
@Biake22 nothing try heating it by stopping the fan then cool. its doing that because some of the solder points are cold. if not try heating longer. thanks
@HansonHacks Thanks for reply. I tried overheating the gpu for a good 30 minutes and it worked for about 1 day longer than before. Is this supposed to be a perm fix? I'll try stopping both fans like you suggested, but will this totally fry my xbox eventually? ty
dont use plastic washers has it still allows the m/b to flex, use spring washers under neath and 2 metal washer (5mm) on top..it works a treat when tightening up the bolts under neath just tighten them till the spring washer closes and thats it...job done...ps you dont need artic paste just ordinary pc cpu paste will do..

TheHowToGuy18 7 months ago
@TheHowToGuy18 Bolt kits exist for a reason and are very necessary as the heatsink's are not pulling towards the chassis. as were the xclamp is screwed onto the chassis which brings the motherboard towards the chassis by pulling the heatsinks inwards bending and creating cold joints. and yes i know using a pro station for reflowing is much better, but a quick warm up without the fan is not so bad and will help remove or stabilize Any cold joints. And not many people have the money for a station.
HansonHacks 7 months ago
@HansonHacks so you just want people to have the money to buy a new xbox after they do this a couple of times and that is why you put nylon washers with the x clamps.
TheHowToGuy18 7 months ago
@TheHowToGuy18 Wtf makes no sense?
HansonHacks 7 months ago
@HansonHacks you said kids dont have the money for a real repair or professional reflow station so if they dont have that money then when they do your repair it will only last maybe a week then they do again and eventually wont work and they have to spend money you said they dont have on a new xbox.

Also did you happen to take any photos of your wiring and pin placements on the motherboard? I couldnt really see where the other end of the pin connector was put/hotglued at
RICEY702 8 months ago
@RICEY702 Hey mate, thanks for your comments. Everything should be there. but i dont know which end you are talking about. either the cables from the fan or cables from the power and ground source... Thanks
HansonHacks 8 months ago
@HansonHacks i meant the other connector where you plugged in the new 12v fan cable. Did you hotglue it on there? do you have any pics of it
RICEY702 8 months ago
@RICEY702 Sorry mate, your comment didn't show in my inbox, a bit late but just stop the video at 10:27
HansonHacks 7 months ago
@HansonHacks He means where did you connect the negative wire connected to "ground" and the long positive wire.
Also, how did you extend the fan wires?
elle552 7 months ago
@elle552 Yeah mate, i showed the "long Positive wire" at 10:27 and I even showed me soldering the negative at 7:17 I extended the fan wires with WIRE!! lol
HansonHacks 7 months ago
@HansonHacks I get it. I get it! lol Sorry it just got confusing with the 2 pin connector but I figured it out. Thanks.
elle552 7 months ago
@elle552 No worries :)
HansonHacks 7 months ago
Where did you get the two pin connector at? I like the way you did the 12v mod. Much cleaner compared to the way I did it. Plus I used the dvd drives power which wasnt really a good idea in the end
RICEY702 8 months ago
Hmm actuall... that would just get me 2 red rings. Maybe I need to tighten my screws.
Biake22 8 months ago
@Biake22 It means the CPU is overheating, just stop the fan going to the flat heatsink (GPU) not the fan going to the tall one (CPU) if its doing what you say its doing its one/some of the solder balls on one of the chips e.g. South bridge, anh chip, CPU, GPU Etc. So you will need to reflow or reball. and you can reflow getto style by stopping one of the fans...

So I had E74 and I removed the Xclamps and the Xbox 360 works now, but when I start it up the Xbox logo is fuzzy along with my avatar. What did I do wrong? ty
Biake22 8 months ago
@Biake22 nothing try heating it by stopping the fan then cool. its doing that because some of the solder points are cold. if not try heating longer. thanks
HansonHacks 8 months ago
@HansonHacks Thanks for reply. I tried overheating the gpu for a good 30 minutes and it worked for about 1 day longer than before. Is this supposed to be a perm fix? I'll try stopping both fans like you suggested, but will this totally fry my xbox eventually? ty
