thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks...you were only demo showing how to go into the computer to find and change the video settings....so we can get an image......thanks
dualview is for multiple monitors, once your monitor is extended the start bar and icons get extended to your alternate display and your primary display gets set to the "extended" version of your desktop. everything you want to use is there, just off screen.
will nView only show up if you have the sVideo cord hooked up? i tried walking through the steps but when i get to my graphics card, the nVideo options don't come up. HELP please =)
my tv is a 32 lcd tv and when i hook it up via hdmi the tv only looks great at 1360 x 768 but it can go up to 1920 x 1080 but the screen looks a bit off and the text is a bit weird i was wondering if you could help me in this debacle please ^^
i got everything working thanks to you dahlin! but my tv is very blurry and i can hardly make out things. are there settings that i can mess with on my computer to fix this?
Ok..right now my computer is hooked up to my TV and it looks good but the only problem is that the TV display cuts off a part of the computer display on the outside of it(top, left, right and bottom part) Ive tried changing resolution but the display doesnt change/
I have an analog TV and bought a cable that had a 7-pin S-video (which goes to the PC) to RCA (which goes to the TV) cable. When I switch the properties to dual screen, I can see the desktop on the TV, but it flickers then goes to black as if its not getting signal. Any help is appreciated.
My video card is Nvidia 8600GT and TV is a 27" Panasonic analog.
From my experience, I have found that the problem is coming from the cord. Try fiddling with the cord, push it in a little or or pull it out a little and try it out. Or you may need a whole new cord. But I would rec a svideo to svideo cord. It always seems to do the trick with me. hth
@fatenshehadeh Well, tried fiddling with it. Didn't work. I'd hate to have to get a new cord. Also, whenever I change the resolution on the analog TV, it flickers with the desktop. So close, I can taste it, but it turns to black again. This is why it leads me to believe its a resolution problem. Signal is transmitting.

Go to your desktop, click Personalize>Display Settings, and chose your desired monitor, it should say 1 and 2 like the video, click on "2" (if thats your TV) and click below it "this is my main monitor" and it should switch. Hope that helps
You probably have an ATI card. Almost all of the ATI drivers have a tool built in for this, just click on the display tab and highlight your TV, I think that's how it works, all my graphics cards are Nvida.
I would of loved for the audio in the video to be louder, but I used Camstudio and for some reason that was the loudest I can get my audio to record on my PC. Sorry, it was unintentional.

Hi there, I just inherited a really old TV that only has a scart output. What kind of cabling do I need to connect it to my PC? My PC is running a Geforce 8600GT with a free s-video and dvi-i port. Many thanks!
after the screen blacks out, it reappears with the "reconfigured" part and I clicked yes -- I still can't find the write video. I tried fixing the s-video cord (thinking that it was loose or something) but still nothing happened. what did I do wrong? (I have an HP Pavilion Special Edition) -- is it because of my laptop, or tv? :/
could i use a, coaxial out port, on my destop computer, bc all i see is a little orange plug that says digital audio out, can i get a plug fro that and plug it into my tv?
THanks...out of all the videos this one was more helpful..the other were stupid.. its just that we dont have the same card as you, so we are still having problems with actually connecting it to the tv. we have all the cables but hard to set the properties..thanks!
That's not true when connecting your TV to your PC. A PC's video card does not produce the sound signal so you will still need to run another cable for audio. HDMI is a better solution though, but only works if you have an HDTV.
thank you for your post , it was very helpful for me. but i am getting on my tv a gray scale instead of color, and how can i ply videos or other on realPlayer or any other media player. thank you for helping.....
thank you, i try it , and it works, but i am getting a Grey scale image, and i cannot play any DVD or videos file , it sows me a black screen . do you have any idea why it happened like this
Thanks

Try it again, remove the cables then reinsert them, and make sure you are on the right TV video channel on the TV

THanks...out of all the videos this one was more helpful..the other were stupid.. its just that we dont have the same card as you, so we are still having problems with actually connecting it to the tv. we have all the cables but hard to set the properties..thanks!

Will I require TV card?
Most people say that only AGP or VGA card is not enough. to watch TV I need a special TV card?
Partytime60 3 years ago
nope just as long as you have the inputs onthe tv and pc then your set, just play around with the properties

Make sure the tv and pc are connected before you go to that screen. And if so use a different S vid wire cause it might just be a bad wire.

you're funny

Hdmi is more simple and easy. 1 cable and video/audio is linked to your tv.
Dox0123 3 years ago
That's not true when connecting your TV to your PC. A PC's video card does not produce the sound signal so you will still need to run another cable for audio. HDMI is a better solution though, but only works if you have an HDTV.
