  • what a great version of this song!

  • the beatles = the original boy band. <3 oh how the times have passed... :'(

  • I think they are singing "Some Other Guy" in this video but are overdubed with "Beautiful Dreamer".

  • @gvalley07 NICE, you read the description! Great job!

  • first time I am hearing this - and just FEASTING on Paul's voice

  • Good god, does every early beatles song have to be accompanied by the same footage from the cavern and passed off as them singing it live?

  • All the greats have gone and all we are left with in 2011

is jumped up junkies who press buttons and make noises!

Im glad Im 'going' and not 'coming'.

  • Where did this recording come from? I never heard them singing it but Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas.

  • It's Cool how they could take a song written a hundred years before & make it sound timely:-)

  • @ uzn88....you got the lyrics right I think. It might be "aint" instead of "isn't", but you got it right.

  • Can someone help me find out the lyrics to the bridge? I can't understand it.... please help me I'm trying to cover it but I need the correct lyrics and I can't find this version online anywhere because I think they changed the lyrics their selves.

this is what I hear "I used to dream of genie with the light brown hair, since I met you baby... that girl isn't anywhere" but it doesn't make sense to me...

Anyways if anyone can help that'll be awesome.

  • @uzn88 see this one hehe Marilyn Horne sings Beautiful Dreamer... on youtube

  • @uzn88 It's cos the songwriter had an earlier hit called "Jeannie with the ..."

  • Love this footage and old clip. I'm Fran Raya, a singer/songwriter fromt he UK and I was bottle fed on Beatles. I've worked with other artists including being Eric Clapton's support act in Scandinavia. I've just uploaded a tribute song to John Lennon which is a rough demo recorded at home in 1981. I've never gone public with this before but I now want to share this with all Beatle fans everywhere in what would have been John's 70th year. Have a listen and spread the word.

  • I LOVE THIS! AWESOME! THEY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!

  • Are they sped up in this video?

  • @TheBeatlesJpm4life No, I didn't speed this video. It's just the same "Some Other Guy" video.

  • Quite the oralist, our Paulie!

    Nice job with the editing!

  • @dylanpresley Thanks for your nice comment!

  • @dan1elpess0a Is this from the BBC in 1962 with Pete Best?

  • An over dub...but, Beatles just the same! I wish I could have experienced it!

  • Never heard this!Just GRRRRRREEat!

  • when my dad was a kid, his parents got him the beatles original recordings actually in the cavern, not knowing how famous they would be today, my grandma thinks she threw them out, but father seems to think they're in my attic, if they are, then, well i dont really know, but ill be happy!! :D

  • what are you doing? get a torch and a ladder now! if you've got them they're worth a fortune, i'd be pulling bricks apart to find them..

  • No.... 2 young !!!

    But my mum yes.

She saw 'em in some UK's concerts.

And was in this assistance during 1 of the BBC Live Shows recording.

She has most of the original British vinyls.

I grew with The Fab 4.

  • I did enjoy it...thanks.

  • how did you do that its great!!!

  • The video is NOT "Beautiful Dreamer" - It is the session in the Cavern in 1962 when they were singing "Some Other Guy" (a hit for The Big Three at the time).

The song is a radio session alright, but it wasn't live and on video as claimed here

  • Ohhh! How smart you are! No one didn't notice that yet!

  • You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not me!

  • Can you read? Ask somebody for read this: "This is an edit with the Beatles' early video "Some Other Guy" at the Cavern Club. Enjoy it! "

  • wow!sounds great :D

  • good cut!!

  • Thank you!

  • I never heard this cut by the fab 4. but man!! what ever song original or copy I believe they did it the best. how did you find this song recoreded by the beatles? keep up the good work put more of the fab 4 on you tube.

    thanks,

    er

  • This song is from the BBC radio programs in the early 60's... It's a bootleg, but it's very commum to find in the internet. Cheers!
