  • Is that an A1?

  • Need larger mag, made lighter, and reissued to the armed forces.

  • @MavHunter20XX I agree with you 100%!!!! but to be honest and blunt, this gun is outdated...

  • @MavHunter20XX add a quick change barrel like the FN made type D BAR and it wouldn't be a bad weapon at all, though the whole magazine vs belt issue would weigh against it.

  • Love them, need a higher cap mag though. Do they exist?

  • @semperfi211 They did produce a 40 round mag in 1919, but they only made 200 of them i think :/

  • Love the BAR:)

Does anyone know if any gun manufacturer still makes these rifles?.. Even semi auto only, it would still be a nice gun.

  • @MsWolfsfantasystudio i think ohio ordanance but their like 3 3 and a half grand a pop and good luck finding mags and shit for it lol

they may not make them anymore tho idk

  • The only way to shoot a BAR....prone

  • bar

  • BAR stands for Big Ass Rifle

jk i know its Browning Assault Rifle

  • @luuk341 Just to ensure we're getting the correct information. BAR = Browning AUTOMATIC Rifle.

The word "assault" is derived from the German MP43. However anti-gun loonies have associated "assault" with every rifle they disagree with, sadly, the firearm community has run with it too no knowing it is the chant of the anti-gun movement.--> Assault is not a firearm, it is a type of behavior.<---

  • Thats the fast Firing mod!

  • should use one of these on our punk ass gang problem in America

  • god i shoot a 30-06 semi auto, i could not imagine shooting full auto

  • This BAR seems to be shooting faster than a normal M1918A2.

  • @nbenicewicz I am almost certain that the BAR has different firing settings where it can shoot more rapid and then another where it shoots slower for more control.

  • @WtFmAtE12244 I'm fully aware of the BAR's rate of fire selector and I've seen other videos of the BAR firing on the fast setting. This BAR seems to be shooting faster others that I've seen.

Watch the video "BAR Full Auto" by fntsmk.

  • just got a boner

  • @kiefchief1 No its a BAR. The Bren has the mag on the top. trust me. Its my dads gun...

  • Dude I want one so fucking bad. Your lucky.

  • man i love that thing

  • The Loud, the Proud, the U.S. Armed Forces. Can't beat the WWI TrenchRippers

  • Thats why there was always more than one BAR per platoon and as many as possible that could be scrounged per squad

  • is that fire rate normal?

  • Yep.

  • @demorgus i belive it is the swiss or swedish version. something of that sort.

  • @demorgus depends on the model

  • Comment removed

  • the bar is bassically a light machine gun or squad automatic machine gun. the only problem they had with the bar is the barrel could overheat and burst if it was not allowed to cool down after extensive fire. it is a good machine gun. orginally designed to clear out trenches.

  • and the 20rnd clip was a real downer

  • Mag, and you could make larger mags, just as long as the attatching points (including feed lips) are the same. They just issued 20 rnd. mags.

  • Magazine. Not clip.

  • that and the fact that the ammunition belt loaded actually weighed more than the weapon did

  • @muddyman1000

I can hardly imagine that clearing out trenches lol.

an SMG is far better at that.

  • It isn't designed to clear out trenches. They were used for covering fire. The Thompson (or tommygun) was used for clearing trenches.

  • The other problem it had was that it only had 20 rounds of rock and roll before you had to reload :)

  • If fired in short accurate bursts, 20 rounds is more than enough to kill or suppress the enemy.

  • @LoneWolf051, Indeed just wasn't enough to completely suppress and enemy for a good period of time, once those 20 bullets were out the enemy would get right back up and shootn

  • No, they wouldnt just get right back up, they'd be shitting themselves, not to mention they didnt know if there was another gunner or rifleman waiting for them, they'd typically be completely demotivated and scared from the experience they'd either crawl to another position, (if there was any), or stay down for a few seconds, trying to regain they're composure and recover from the shock.

  • @LoneWolf051, True but the enemy would adapt to the fire, not all soldiers will get suppressed some will go on their own choice and when they hear the shooting stop end up advancing still, But the BAR did suppress enemys for a certain amount of time, iw ont lie.

  • And by then the assault team would have shredded them from the flanks, or perform suppresing fire while moving to the flanks

  • True but german soldiers and alot of soldiers were trained on how to handle a machine gun nest, depending on its defenses such as a bunker, riflemen, cover it would have likely if the cover was low and not many riflemen nearbye been destroyed :(

  • Thats right, and German weapons were mainly designed to be defensive in nature, while Allied weapons were designed with mobility in mind, such as light machine guns.

  • Well, German weapons weren't mainly made for defensive type natures, They were made light and easy tyo carry Mg-34 and 42 a good example so they could advance or retreat, Blitzkrieg is a good example of the weapons being used in a very offensive way

  • No, Automatic Rifles and Light Machineguns are very different, LMGs are designed for long range belt fed, crew served weapons, like the M1919. Automatic Rifles on the other hand are designed for use by one man, and carried less ammo than an LMG, but was far lighter and mobile to be up front with the infantry squad.

  • Great vid. I love this Gun!

  • Sweet B.A.R.!

  • THAT IS AWESOME.

  • Thoughs are awesome! Full auto 30-06 lol! That is just fun to say lol

  • you beat me to it. isnt it a Browning "Assault" not "Auto" Rifle?

auto 30'06 mows down deer. after you shoot it you gotta look around for the pieces of the deer.

  • i don't think so. "assault rifle" wasn't used until the STG-44. the BAR was made in 1917.

  • it's Browning Automatic Rifle. This was a support weapon, not an assault rifle.

  • @LWRCftw But its also one of the originators of AR design :p

  • @LWRCftw Actually, it can be used as both.

  • Browning Automatic Rifle
