Yeah, it's part of the Judgement grade on the Field Exam Report. You can find it on a site somewhere for more details.

Aah good 'ol FFVIII :D Started playing it again I see? Can we except some more vids? Also, didn't know that you get a better rank if you finish under 7 seconds.

I'm going to try and make videos for every boss battle, so yes, expect plenty more. The deal with the SeeD rank is part of your grades for the field exam. For this part, its called Judgement. The highest rank you can get at this stage is a 9, so it's not really a big deal, but you'll be getting payed more early on.
