@fivepointbaptist I agree it really is ironic. Not because Calvinists are the only ones who believe in the svrty of God but because they have the mistaken notion that they do. In reality it is a limited, view that makes God very small. Again an irony because clvts think they have a high view of God. Here's the thing in the clvnts mind ther is only one way God can be svrn. He has no other choices.
@faithandpractice You're right, God can be none other than God. Just as God can do none other than to be holy. Justas He can do none other than be just. IOW, God must be God. Let me know when you're willing to step up and make some video responses; till then, spare me your rhetoric.
@fivepointbaptist What if God wanted to exercise His svrnty in a way that He svrnly chooses to allow certain things to happen that He is not pleased with or that are not His will? Is He allowed to do that?
@fivepointbaptist Your answer speeks volumes and demonstrates why you have small view of God. God must be svrn as YOU diefine svrnty. You limit Him and, in your mind, do not allow Him to do as He pleases. Scary.
@faithandpractice Would like to have a debate on the sovereignty of God? Lets just both put our money where our mouth is. ARe you prepared to back up your position in a debate format?
"God" apparently isn't so "loving" if he's just going to kill thousands of people just because they don't believe in Him. What a jealous douche!! Fuck GOD!!
Good video Five Point. Good scripture references. It is true according to scripture that ll things pass thru his Sovereign Hands. Pray that the Lord use these disasters to open peoples Hearts and Minds.....Will pass along....
Who can say that what has happened, the Lord has not done it? I believe that what has happened to the Japanese is a result of God's wrath on a pagan nation. And whether or not we agree, is He not glorified in the destruction? Is His power not shown, how He can shake the earth and move the sea? Is He not glorified?
But pray for the Japanese and that our Lord continues to show the U.S. mercy, because we are no better than them. We have all turned away. Pray for true revival and reformation.
I go as far as the scripture goes. Be more specific about your question on his occasionalism. I will say, I go much further than most. I agree wholly with Calvin's section on providence in his Institutes. Very few go as far as Calvin did.
I may have spent more time groovin to the music than reading. I hope Kirk doesn't find out I danced. I'll be in trouble. Seriously though, when I first saw what happened in Japan I wondered how many preachers would tell their congregations God never wanted that to happen.
@fivepointbaptist Everyone better watch that dancing,I had a Baptist preacher once tell me that a dancing foot and a praying knee have no business on the same leg.
I agree with everything but that horrid music.

Calvinism has such a small, and limited view of God's Sovereignty.

@faithandpractice Thats an ironic statement given the fact that Calvinist are the only ones who believe in the sovereignty of God.

What I find comical are those Conspiracy Theorist Christians who say that the recent earthquakes were done by HAARP, some facility in Alaska.

@theheat151
Wasn't HAARP already canceled?

Your right on target with this video. It is only by God's grace and mercy that any on us don't experience the full wrath of God.
