ReLeiiZatiion, i think i used vray lights. Try a test with just a teapot and play with the settings. you can get really good lighting from vray lights.

ChrisDesignHD, vray IS available for C4D but I'm not sure about particles. But yes, get vray for C4D now! you won't regret it

really quick to render? its taking me 7 minutes to render one frame of a cached fluid sim. im using 3 lights and I havent jacked up any quality settings yet

to calculate the time of the sim? i think it took a few hours. ill make sure to jot that down next time. but it was really quick to render
