If you ever wanted to know how great of man Dr. Tom Osborn was, just watch Coach Turner Gill hear. He personifies his mentor. Gill is his own man with his own character but to me, he is a mirror of Dr. Osborn. They both are stoic PURE CLASS gentlemen which is seemingly hard to find these days.  Gill was also my idol when I was a teenager in HS in the Bronx NY. God bless him.

I would have loved to see Gill at Auburn but I am also glad we have Chizik for the moment. Chizik did great things with at Auburn when he was here in 2003-2004 as the defenses were truly amazing.

My buddy went to KU and he wanted Tommy Tuberville, He's not against Turner Gill, he just doesn't think he has the same clout. I know racism still exists in sports but things are changing. Im not gonna lie...I didnt see Gill's coaching work until this game. He's impressive. I was in complete shock when Auburn chose Chizik over him. It's all good though. He's gonna land somewhere good and make an impact....or turn Buffalo into a yearly contender for the MAC.

As much as it would have been cool to have T. Gill as Husker coach NU was in dire straits defensively and needed a coach with a defensive pedigree. We made the right hire for the time.

Also, need to think about the fact that T. Gill rates as one of the, if not the most well respected and liked ex-Nebraska player of all time. He is also very close to Tom Osborne. What if Gill was hired and it didn't go well? Wouldn't want to be in the position to have to possibly decide to fire a Husker hero

no offense, but Auburn is not a top job this year, it is in the SEC and you have to recruit against Bama with Saban. Syarcuse would be a better fit for Turner who has recruiting ties up there

He isn't going anywhere. He could have went to some big name schools last year but is goal is to build up UB. Recruits will now look a little harder at UB bringing UB up in the ranks. He has too much invested here and won't just run like that. He will get a nice bonus and UB will be in the top 25 within teo years.
