I just don't get the concept of an SRT-8 Jeep. If you want a drag racer you don't buy a mid-sized SUV. It makes no sense. A Jeep is for off-roading, that's its specialty. If you want a drag racer, get a Corvette or a Mustang.
$31,000 dollars is a lot of money for the base model! My brother got a new one $10,000 off and the seats in the 2nd row are too low. See at 2:50 how high her knees are?
@mitch247ful well, I had a 2001 limited with a 4.7L and I had no problems with it at all. That engine is really powerful. Torque like a sum bitch. It rides really smooth and handles extremely well for a top heavy vehicle. I recommend you to get one. They are a blast to drive and are very reliable. I hope that helps.
@mitch247ful With any used vehicle the trick is to find one that was well maintained. If the previous owner took good care of the vehicle it shouldn't give you any problems. I bought my neighbor's 1996 JGC three years ago---one owner vehicle and I saw it across the street for years---and I've had very little trouble with it. Runs great in snow or off-road.
I had a 2001 Grand Cherokee and I will say that it was one of the best SUVs I have ever owned. My 4.7 liter powertech engine in that one was only 235 HP and 290 torque. The new 4.7 gets so much more and has all those standard safety features. I think that Jeep is tops when it comes to capable SUVs. They used to have a direct competitor in Hummer, but, now that Hummer is no more, the only SUVs that will even come close are the Range Rover and Land Rover.
the only reason someone would be willing to buy a big suv is if they had a pile of kids, only five seats. A v6 has never worked in a big suv because the smaller engine has to work harder, it offers the similar mpgs to the v8 but much less power. The 4.0 was good I guess(for longevity ) but thats about it ,mpg's sucked. desiel is what every suv in america should have, good torque, mpgs, longest lasting/most rugged engine
1.) Jeep is more of a guy type of SUV. It's not a luxurious SUV for yuppies, etc. They should stop trying to ruin Jeep. 2.) The 3.7 liter v6 in the 05 to 09's are weaker more crappy motors. 3.) I have a 2000 JGC WJ. I've had it for more than 3 years & have never had an issue except for replacing minor wear & tear parts. The 4.0 inline 6 is what they should've kept in these dogs. Not a weaker motor or more luxury. Jeep is an American icon as well. Jeep can do anything & that's why I love it.
yah same here.. i just bought my second grand cherokee. my first one, which i still own is 1999 laredo, and has 236,000 miles and is still running strong. i love this car
Yea u do have a jeep, its brownish or bage right. I was bored enough to check out your myspace dude. Does it handle well on long haul trips, like going to six flags or across state?
what?!! you cant seat more than 5 people?? the other day i put the rear seat down & seated 10 girls in the back =] they weren't exactly comfortable but who cares!
Standard features include air conditioning, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, 8-way power driver seat, and cruise control.
Options include a power sunroof, premium sound system, rear-seat DVD entertainment system, wireless cell phone link, universal garage door opener, leather upholstery, navigation system w/voice recognition, memory system, and 6-disc CD changer. All of those options get the car up to about $44,000.
Anytime. I know a WHOLE lot about cars (I seem to have an opsession), and I have a consumer guide report book. Let me know if you need any information almost ANY car (except Maseratis, Maybachs, Ferraris, and Lambos which my book does not provide).
Wow! I influenced what car someone would buy! Woot!! hahaha
