The simultaneous chest strike and block at 3:40 is very similar to those techniques in krav maga in which the defender blocks and attacks at the same time. I like.
Hard styles of martial arts lock their punches and so are easy to catch. The catching or parrying moves give you a greater range of options. They also allow you to weave in between the opponent's strikes. This video clearly shows that the techniques are not about "catching" but weaving, so that you move in a fluid way. Most styles are tight and tense and are very limited in their options of movement. Phantom Kung-fu uses the human body to its full potential.
I dont like these moves because theyre not that efficient against somebody who knows how to punch. a proper punch will punch fast, theres no way you can catch his hand each time
