(Hmm?, I didn' t get notified that you had replied all those months ago)
But yes, I've set a lot of Mods. Been an operator in the crane service biz for 28 years. I was just saying to myself... Add a shackle to the back chokers, and then you piped up and said the same, hahaha.
Have taken a break to pursue another endeavor. But if it doesn't pan out, I'll probably be back pulling levers till full retirement kicks in. But it'll be on long term jobs in an RT. I'm tired of jumping a mobile rig all over the area, and setting up and tearing down 1, 2, sometimes 3 times a day. Then getting back to yard and being told to grab a truck and take a 40' section 250tn boom out to the paper mill where they're setting up for an emergency. That just ain't fun anymore.
Good job. Hope you got all your shackles back, hahaha. Did they help ya' roll up your rigging when you were done? Yea, you're right. That was a dumb question, hahaha.
Yea, I here ya'. But I've found that if you put on a fake limp and groan a lot, sometimes you can shame 'em into to stop just standing there and watching, and to start picking up some of the cribbing, hahaha.
cputb1 sounds like you've been there

I was on that job for three months setting mods, and rarely did any of the crew help move the rig, or roll up rigging.
