Her ability to attract Julius Caesar and Mark Antony was her princely education and intelligence, which allowed her to engage in intellectual conversation and political repartee. Also, thin women were not considered attractive during Cleopatra's lifetime as it was considered a sign of poverty and infertility in women.

Most of the people who still support the “African” skeleton idea are racists who want to use it as part of a justification of their racism.

Cleopatra was descended from one of Alexander the Great's generals, namely Ptolemy I, thus she was Greek by decent.

You might argue that forensic anthropology uses the “African” skeleton idea but you would be wrong they use the skeletal features I mentioned earlier. They seldom say that a set of remains are of a particular ethnicity instead they say that the remains are more likely to be of a particular ethnicity.

In my time at college I took two physical anthropology courses both of which had extensive sections on ontology. So you see my college career actually has bearing on the subject and yours does not appear to.

@hooch7009 The target audience for CBBC is 6 - 12 but the writers of Horrible Histories have said in interviews and on Twitter that they write the show just as much for an adult audience. They want the parents to enjoy it equally, which is why there are so many jokes and references in there that will be lost on children. I'm about the same age as the cast and I love it and learn from it as much as my kids do! x
