  • I have been a massage therapist now for over 3 years and worked in Texas @ Massage Heights, Envy's competitor. I speak from the inside, Massage Envy is a terrible place to work, the pay is peanuts (especially for the amount of work you do, both in modality i.e. deep tissue and by work-load.) I can't speak for ALL of Envy, but I do know some locations WILL make you work 6 hours straight (no break), sometimes more. For any MT looking to work for a franchised location, please e-mail me. GOOD LUCK!

  • @anthonymicheal Thank you for your comment. I recently went on a few interviews for some of these membership type spas and was floored by the slave labor wages that they were paying. Great therapists do this work for the love of it but the truth of the matter is is that the tax that it takes on our bodies over time is right up there physically with that of hard physical labor. Spas need to recognize that when then undercut the therapist's worth and have some reverance for the MTs.
