Dobermann attack Malinois

I have Mals and do conformation, Obed, Agility, Rally and a few other things. In UKC they are considered the same Breed with different coat types. I've seen pure breed litters spring a long coated Mal (fondly called maliterv) when there aren't any long coats for many generations. The gene is there. It's entirely possible that this is a full blood Mal with a long coat. Regardless, it's nice to watch this cute vid of a BSD(UKC) and a Dob with full ears/tail. Thanks for sharing.

About a hundred years ago or so the belgian community were unable to decide which of their FOUR herding breeds should be their national breed of dog(groenedael, tervuren, malinois and laekenois), and so they made them all equal. However they dont have all the same characteristics. There's a reason Malinois is the who is used as a police dog and attack dog by the military. They have a lot more drive than the other three. Saying that they are the exact same breed is not right. Do some reading..

i think dogs with thin tales like dobes should be docked(im strictly aganst ear docking) but we had my dobes tail done because when dogs have thiner tails they are more likely to get damaged and we would rather she went through a quick procedure as a pup than wait till shes older and has to go through alot of apin if she was to break it or what not

Well it's strictly against the law in Australia to even dock tails and too be honest I've had both and our current one looks just as good (in my opinion) although it is a weapon and it is always wagging. It gives her character. I did nearly shut it in the car door when she was a pup because it was as long as she was! But it's no problem.

The RSPCA in some places (like the UK and Australia) has completely banned any docking/cropping at all. My American friend in Germany was railed out and threatened because her Boxer (from America) was docked, and the authorities wanted to know which German vet did it, so they could prosecute the vet...they're that hardcore.

I don't think it looks good either, but I hate it when people tell me what to do with my animals, and for me to do likewise only makes ME the hypocrite.

yeh its so stupid...one of my dobes is a rescue and the place we got him from was a doberman rescue home and one of the dogs there has had its ears docked...thing is..this is the uk its ileagal....turns out the poor thing had had its ears cut off with scissors and then glues up with pva.
