How are you supposed to get your mash into that keg ??? Thats an awfully small hole to dump a mash through... If i can use a keg it would be great !! Got a couple kickin around...

How do you clean out the keg after you've made a batch? This seems like a really big problem...or not?

@SenatorMark4 its best to put a drain with a ball valve in the bottom then you can drain it and flush it out.

what heat element would u need to heat that size of keg ? Single Hot Plate or Propane ?

@ttuckey get a 1 inch stainless nut, drill a 1 1/4 hole toward the bottom of the keg and solder or weld the nut on. Get a ss water heating element and screw it in the nut and heat it with electric.

I hope to perches one of thees sometime. My cousin had a permit to make 10000 gallons of fuel grade ethanol per year. I hope to get him interested in it again.

I love these! I was going to buy one when I lived in Denver but I used the money to move to Boston. I still plan on buying a system from you but this takes the cake and I'm totally sold on the keg idea.
