I downloaded this originally for a ps1 emulator and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. I wonder if I should pick up the PSP version considering I haven't got the cash for a more recent entry like Vesperia Ps3 and seeing as how Abyss for 3ds has been delayed

@capostatus937 I dabble in japanese so wasn't a problem. Too bad I couldn't understand most of the select button skits, since my knowledge of japanese is limited. So I can't help you, sorry. I can help you finish the game 100% though, since I've played all game versions repeatedly. God, Cless and klarth are awesome.

Why is it that every single japanese voice actor sounds the same? It's always the same generic cute girl voice, grown up woman voice, generic male voice, baby voice; etc. Or is it just the same 4 or 5 people who do all voice acting for all of japan?

These developers left and formed Tri-Ace, this included the lead programmer for the game and the game designer.

If anything, Tales os a wannabe of Star Ocean.

I'll admit that the roaming around on the field feels pretty bad in SO4, it has a lagged response time to your control stick and just generally looks weird. I had no problems with the battle system though. Either way, I like both games but if someone asked me would you like a new Tales game or a new SO game, I'd have to go with SO.

@KievenTeo The Last Hope is the 4th Star Ocean game. I would recommend trying Star Ocean 2. It is quite a bit different to The Last Hope and is in my opinion the best of all 4.

Second Evolution is my favourite, if you like tales games then it should be impossible for you to 'hate' SO 1 or 2, sure you might still like tales better but nevertheless they are excellent games.
