perhaps chan speaks to herself as she does in other songs. anyway my favorite lines of the song are the lines where chan puts the most emphasis on her lyrics, yet they are the softest spoken lyrics. "you know what i mean.. who doesn't lie?... you know what i mean." or "if i'm never in doubt of youu." the reason i love the way she sings this is because i feel i might be able to apply these rather general lytics to my own life.

i've thought many times about the meaning of this song as i have heard it. unfortunately it seems to personal an issue of chan's or something. nevertheless, i still try to pick apart every line and create some meaning. for me, this song exemplified the significance of creating your meaning out of lyrics. chan speaks to a person who sees the glass as half full rather than half empty... this is surely the most obvious symbolism and probably the least significant

we all know how good of a song this is i don't need to restate that. what's so surprising about this is how informally it's played on the guitar. after figuring it out i realized that they aren't even proper chords she is picking... not that they need to be proper chords, but they sound as if they would be. so basic,but he voice carries it along. the funniest thing is that i can say i love this chan,but i don't know if i feel the same way about her newer stuff.if you like this song try mr. gallo
