Hey, great stuff. I figured out that 'exchoplex'-ending 'Country Boy' solo over 42 bars as well in the 80s. And was lucky to play it once in front of Albert himself at my place in Amsterdam.

I guess, it's Albert's hallmark song definately, as everything that makes his playing so unique is in there. As long you've got a solid bass and drummer playing along with you in a band situation, it's really fun.

Maybe I put my version on YouTube one day!

Very nice job. i am Albert's daughter and found your video on the page of "recommended for you" section. I sang with him this weekend at the James Burton guitar festival and he did Country Boy. It's difficult to get together with a band, they always seem to be playing too slow or maybe my dad is playing too fast. Anyway, very impressed, best version i've heard by someone else. Especially since you play through to the end and use the echoplex.

I did notice a lack of all the details and stuff in other covers on Youtube, so I thought that I'd push myself and do the whole thing pretty much note-for-note (though I messed up a few times)!
