I knew immediately this looked like jarheads in a special services facility somewhere.

When I was in some bases had Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, good drums and bases, sound booths, everything. Camp Pendleton had good stuff, looked just like this. That was 1986.

Wasn't until about two minutes in I saw the Eagle Globe and Anchor on the dude's t-shirt but I knew right away just from the attitude.

The studio there was pretty decent (and free!). This was over 3 years ago, but I hope the place is still there. Music is a great outlet for Marines out there. Oki has a pretty nice music scene.

No, I don't. I'm sure I played some parts wrong. We were playing in standard E, but Metallica plays it in dropped D (standard E with the bottom string dropped one whole step). I kinda freaked to solo, too. For the most part it's right though... Ok, except for the drums, and the fact that there's no bass. And Yes, I know I am know James Hetfeild. I appreciate the constructive critisicsm though. Check out my other band BEYOND THE RUINS.

People, this is a rehesal room, with minimal pa, no bass player which would really fill it up. The drummer is keeping a steady beat though it may not be exactly what is played in the original but in a club this song would be pulled off just fine. I say ROCK ON DUDES!
