  • I like to look at it this way, cinematically the originals are better, no question. But we get to the prequels and the dialogue may stink but hey, its not Shakespeare, its Star Wars. Personally I will watch the prequels when I wanna see Ewan McGregor kick ass or I want to feel the emotion of the lava fight scene and the coolness of the suit being put on. I LOVE the originals but I like the prequels too, for different reasons. In the end, its all Star Wars, and its pretty god damn awesome.

  • One of my favorite scenes in film history

  • where the fuck is the kazoo music???

  • when i wanted to find this i typed darth vader's death music.

  • @mannimarco3 same ppl

  • This would go good with Voldemorts Death

  • you missed a word in the title, perhaps MUSIC seeing as the rest of youtube is videos?

  • Imperial March on a harp is Star Wars

  • This is not Darth Vaders death.

    It is Anakins.

  • @mannimarco3 Right.

  • Vader is just so cool, pure evil but you can't help but feel sorry for him as he is being controlled by the Dark Side thanks to Palaptine. He redemption is probably the best scene in all of Star Wars and then this scene. It's a shame Lucas made Anakin into a whiney bi*ch in the prequels (horrible movies they were).

  • @QullVideo thats how he would start out though if you think about it

  • @QullVideo They weren't as bad as people make them out to be. Ask any person who was a kid when the originals came out and they say it's great. Ask anyone who was a kid when the prequels came out, and they say they were great too. They had significantly more issues then the originals (barring Episode III which I feel is equal to the OT), but they were not horrible by any stretch.

  • @guilemaster147 When I was a kid (9-years-old when Episode I came out), I loved it. I thought it was a brilliant movie and watched it over and over again like I did when I was first introduced to the original trilogy at like 5-years-old. But my love for star wars has hit me back as I've got older and could see just how poorly made the prequels were. Ofcourse it's down to personal taste but IMO, if the prequels didn't have Star Wars in the title, it'd go down as one of the worst movies ever.

  • @QullVideo Worst movie ever is pushing it quite a bit, I think. I've gone back and looked at it as well, and I can see that Phatom in particular(and Clones, to an extent) has a lot of issues (particularly in the execution of the plot), but I think that the whole "everyone hates it, so I will too" thing has caused it to look worse then it actually is. I can still have a good time watching it, and I don't get bored and do other things during it, so it's still good entertainment. Just my two cents.

  • @guilemaster147 I'm not saying I regret it but there is a review on Youtube of all three films which points out why the films are really really bad. Everything he says you know to be true because it's all right there in those so called prequels, right under your nose. I've not watched the prequels since just like I never watch T3 and T4 again. The prequels are good as light entertainment, but they should have been so much more because it was Star Wars. Search Youtube: RedLetterMedia Star Wars.

  • @QullVideo I am well aware of those reviews, and they are a huge reason why there is a bandwagon of hate for the prequels. Critical media does this all the time. If something gets big, they ALL follow it. Just look at pretty much everything Roger Ebert ever reviews, the same critics always give similar reviews. As I said, there are problems with the movies, but a lot of these "problems" exist in most other films, and are only ever pointed out to solidify an argument against a movie.

  • @guilemaster147 Nevermind the arguement. It's what you think personally and many people think personally that they were poor films. People who like the films are welcome to it. I guess you have to ask your self that if loads of people hate a film that you like, do you care? You can still enjoy the film. There are plenty of films I love that people think are crap, such as Independance Day. It dosen't stop me from enjoying it time and time again. I think the prequels suck but I respect your opinon

  • @QullVideo That's well said, I agree.

  • He died at peace.

  • Darth Vater:It is done master.

  • Imperial March riff on a Harp = Stunning. Sums up the character quite well too. He was a fierce and terrible force played on a poignant and heart wrenching instrument.

  • the single string pluck near the end of this will live forever.

A defining sound, for a defining bad guy.

  • This will be one of many songs I will play at my funeral.

  • The part at 2:06 is just so perfect it makes me want to cry :'(

  • does this scene make anyone else cry everytime they here it?

  • While true that Darth Vader died, he was destroyed, it really was Anakin Skywalker's death. Something we should all remember, no matter how much corruption, no matter if we're on our deathbeds, redemption and restoration is possible. Anakin is an example

  • @LuthienofOssiriand thats bullshit, darth vadar may have helped kill the emperor but that in no way redeems him for destroying the jedi council and millions of others.

  • @Crucades "The lesson of Anakin Skywalker is that any person no matter how good or heroic or innocent CAN fall into darkness. That's a pretty grim lesson, BUT there is a bright side to it as well. The flip side of that lesson is that any monster no matter how twisted and evil he or she may be is never fully beyond redemption."-DuroDude, from StarWars.com

  • @Crucades ....wow....

  • @Crucades Darth Vader* Please, respect to the Sith Lord. and on that note, He -did- save Luke from being killed, hence letting him rebuild the Jedi Order once the celebration was over. Is that not worthy of redemption? I'd see it as so. He may have killed all those Jedi and countless many innocents, but he was also the one to give Luke the chance to rebuild it into a stronger order. In the end, it all worked out.

  • @LuthienofOssiriand

..we do remember..but.. were all seperated by wherever we live in these lives...

  • I'm love it :).

  • Anakin Skywalker was truly a hero in the end. Too bad he had to become what he swore to destroy to fulfill his purpose...

  • The echoing of the Imperial March is my favorite part, because whenever I watch Star Wars i picture myself as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

  • 1:45 to 1:54 i just can't not cry.

  • :'(

  • 5 people joined thr Dark Side

  • U.U

  • @AvaterPrinceZuko infact

  • 5 people are fans of Star Trek or Justin Bieber.

  • i wonder did he go to hell or stay as a ghost or went to heaven?

  • @DarthDracon10 well there's no heaven in the star wars universe... just the neatherworld of the force or something like that

  • @sarutobi92 HA hahahahahaha haha he you're right they don't believe in jesus nor the devil ha didn't see that part yeah they are probably in a forece like paradise

  • @DarthDracon10 You can relate it to Christianity, though.

  • @msm019595 yeah i guess?

  • @DarthDracon10 Well, here:

Star Wars - Force Christianity - God

Star Wars - Jedi & Sith Christianity - Christians & Atheists

There's more, but I need to go to school :)

  • @msm019595 jedi = christians and sith = atheists? not really

cause both jedi and siths believe in the force... I would say that if you want to relate it with Christianity then jedi = christians and sith = satanism. In the star wars universe there are a lot of people that dont believe in the force (Han Solo at Ep IV, for example, so he should be an "atheist").

But I would say that Force is more similar with buddhism than with Christianity, except for the part of Anakin and his "virgin" mother.

  • @championofgods Good point. I once saw a book, and it's title was something along the lines of Christianity and Star Wars. Buddhism does coincide with a lot of it, though.

  • @msm019595 Well the kind of rebirth thing does........

  • @DarthDracon10 He became a force ghost with Qui-gon (Episode 3 mentioned only) Yoda and obi-wan

  • 2:09 - 2:15 gives me chills

  • you where right about me..... tell your sister.....you where right

  • Thank you Mr. Williams. What a great moment in cinema. Still glue's me to the screen each time I watch it.

  • Darth Vadar shall return to bring harmony to the galaxie!

  • truly brilliant

  • Wouldn't this track be okay for Malak speaking to Revan after Malak is defeated, then dies in the light side ending?

  • @RinluJedi Hell yes.

  • @TPizzle83 Because it signifies two best friends fighting with each other in the Mandalorian Wars, then one friend betrays the other, regrets it and dies

  • Am I the only who thinks Arthus is going to repent (Arthus from World of Warcraft) like Vader did?

  • wat the hell was that. its so kut

  • You already have Luke...you were right....you were right about me...tell your s-sister you w-were right!*dies*

    1:56-2:29 :`(

  • So sad. Don't watch this scene after Snoopy's going away party in Snoopy Come Home.

  • xDDDDD

    epic comment

  • Thanks. Both this scene and that scene are really sad.

  • 0:48 the mask finally comes off....

i nearly cried at this part

  • My second favorite piece from the original trilogy is this harp solo playing the Imperial march, nothing beats it.

  • if you will nor be turned you will be distroyed

  • Wrong song.

  • @emporer15 Wrong Comment.

  • Now...go my son....leave me...

No, you're coming with me. I can't leave you here, I've got to save you.

You already have...Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister...that you were right.

  • @SolarBlade52 *croak*

  • @SolarBlade52 fuck you for fucking this up more than once in the span of a few lines.

  • @griffonstink

    LOL at your comment.

  • @SolarBlade52 Best dying words of a tyrant turned to a good man during his last minutes.

  • this scene is too sad for me i always cries in this scene D': star wars is a good movie and i love it :D

  • WOT THE Hell WAS THAT ABOUT

  • he wasn't really Darth Vader at this point. he was Anakin Skywalker.

  • I think 0:01 to 0:13 would make a great theme for a scene that would have Boba Fett escape the sarlacc.

  • sad .... i cried of this scene =(

  • this is so sad :(

    i like star wars

  • i love star wars too =')

  • :D

    :)

  • 00:48 - 1:10 is my favourite part.

  • I love how the famous notes of "the imperial march" are replayed here when Vader dies, but on the harp they sound sad instead of menacing.

  • 2:07 is where his eyes close, and he dies.

  • 2:08 till 2:15 is the best part :)

  • Actually it's called Binary Sunset because the theme is first heard when Luke is watching the two suns of Tatooine setting.

  • the beginning sounds like the more modern film scores don't ya think?

  • 0:46 is beautiful

  • es misterioso pues

  • A dead Emperor/Sith Lord, some of the Empire's best troops defeated by teddy bears, defeated and battered Imperial Fleet, 2nd Death Star gone, and now Vader dies. At about 1:00 you get the feeling the Empire is defeated. But...150 +/-yrs. later All Hail a Sith Empire!!!

  • first time i was this part of the movie i was crying

  • Who likes obi wan

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that was playing when Luke was looking at Tatooine's two suns in Episode IV? That has to be my favorite song.

  • binary sunset

  • The name of the soundtrack is : "Binary Sunset" That has to be my favourite song too ! :)

  • "luke help me take off this mask."

  • ''But you'll die''

  • Nothing, can stop that now...

  • *sigh* SAD SONG, EVEN FOR A PART VILLIAN

  • BART TÖNJANN RETURNS

  • "Luke help me take this mask off."

    "But father you'll die!"

    "Nothing can stop that now."

"Just once let me look upon you with my own eyes."

    Most Touching line ever

  • ''Now go...my son leave me''

''No your coming with me...I got to save you''

''You already have Luke...you already have...tell your sister you were right''*Dies*

  • no, you;re coming with me. i'll not leave you here. I've got to save you.

You already have Luke.... You were right.. you were right about me.....Tell your sister you were right

  • But you'll die.. -- no father in the line

  • 2:07 - 2:14 the Vader theme....

    ..that is cool

  • anakin skywalker a true tragic hero

  • yeah..:( sad story

  • @theprophet25 But Darth Vader was an epic villan.

  • @theprophet25 Surely you mean Luke. Anakin was a bitch.

  • @DFWatches HEY ANIAKIN WAS NOT A BITCH!

  • @B00TYLICI0US131 Yes he was, small child. PS: In your nerd rage you misspelled his name.

  • @DFWatches He wasn't. He was a tragic hero because as a kid he was a slave. Qui-Gon freed him. But Qui-Gon got killed by Maul. In Episode 2 his mother dies. In Episode 3 he has visions of Padme's death. The Jedi council didn't trust him enough to allow him to be a master. So Sidious was able to manipulated Anakin and he became a Sith. Anyways, how is Luke a tragic hero? Search up tragic hero on google because I don't think you know what it means.

  • @DFWatches loll youre mad funny

  • @theprophet25 Born for a purpose, destined with great power...

  • @RinluJedi please don't invoke those bowel movements.

  • still have tears in my eyes when I hear this music.

  • @rharrington1451 lue... help me take this... .. mask off, but father youll die. nothing can prevent that now, just for once let me look upon you with my own eyes.

  • @AdemAvTurkiet: There's a dual meaning to "his own eyes". Besides being without a mask, it also means Vader having human eyes again, as opposed to the yellow Sith ones he'd have had up to that point.

  • how does john williams do it

  • when Steven Spielberg approached John Williams and asked him if he would do the score to 'shindlers list', Williams is know to have said ""You need a better composer than I am for this film." and Speilberg responded with 'I known, but there all dead", Williams - best classical composer on the planet?

  • The best living composer, certainly!

In time, his name should be placed alongside that of such names as Beethoven, Brahms, Wagner, etc. Heck, his music SOUNDS like a Beethoven symphony or Wagner opera.

His melodies are the most famous in the planet as well (not counting real songs).

  • No he alredy are placed alongside those names!!!!

  • CORRECT!

  • we should celebrate he still lives!

  • Call me a party breaker (traduced directly from spanish, no idea it really exists) but Williams will never get to the level of Beethoven or Mozart. sure, his music is good, but it is only known by a bunch of people, whereas Beethoven is known by EVERYONE. He may be remembered as we remember Beethoven, but Beethoven will allways be remebered as a better composer. Williams DEFINETLY is the BEST LIVING composer. But Beethoven (and Mozart, and Tchaicovsky etcc) will always be better.

  • yeah!sad,very sad."father,I won't leave you".

  • "Luke help me take this mask off."

    "But father you'll die!"

    "Nothing can stop that now."

"Just once let me see you with my own eyes."

It was so sad. I shed a tear when I saw this.

  • sad.)= but cool

  • Nice :D

  • cool

  • Nice music!
