I hate the new layout. I usally don't complain about there updates, but this one is far the worse, the new channel lay out confuses me! (I made my 1st account on October 24th 2010, this is my second.)

It sucks that I can't "view all comments" anymore. When people respond to my comments, I can no longer go back to see the context, so I have no idea what they're talking about. If I click on "view all comments", my pages freezes up. If I sit there for 10 minutes, I'll eventually get the screen working, but then I can't search through it, because the search function makes it freeze up again. Total shit, YouTube.

I miss the old Youtube- I remember when we had groups, the videos were rated from a scale of one to five stars, and we could add friends. I believe Youtube is making the new channels because, like the video states, they don't care about US. Just their precious money.

I remember when they could care LESS. When it was just a simple video viewing website. This has gotten far out of hand with these terrible changes. I have been trying to get popular on Youtube for 3 years now. It's not even probable

In the YouTube Channels video of the new layout, the designs on the homepage looks cool but ours looks like crap! Also you can't customize the colors and stuff of your channel! this sucks.

@GsBBoyDan yeah the player page is better, bt home page. they optimized it for tablets. even they changed the search algorithm, i think.  Anyway people wont quite yt. they will forced to be with it. :)

@MoonLandmark The thing about it being for tablets is a myth, started by people guessing at a reason why they changed it. Tablets have their own built in layout, that has full pages of thumbnails, no side bars, and uses real player instead of flash. Go to the mobile site to see the content for tablets "replace the w w w with the letter m" - you won't be able to watch anything, or see the 100% of the tablet layout (built-in remember?), but the content will be accurate.

I follow a lot of different youtubers, and for the videos I don't really want to watch they don't go away!

As a person who is in school for web design...they should fire the person who did this layout, come on a kid in an elementary web class could make this so easy. Fine change the layout, but why take AWAY features, how does that make any sense?

TO GET THE OLD LAYOUT you just have to put /home at the end of the URL, but clicking on the logo on the homepage takes you back to the new layout.

I wouldn't be averse to the new layout if I was given the choice to use it or not. Not to mention that all the code changes that they have implemented are causing undue lag when typing and browsing. It's quite aggravating.
