Mama: Wait until your your birthday

Kid: I WANT IT NOW NOW NOW

Me: Excuse me mam, *pushes the kid on the train tracks*

*train comes a crashed the kid*

Me: I did a good deed and it was worth it.

  • It looks like an airplane on the inside! :O

  • The white noise in the station is even more "noisy" when you don't understand japanese haha. Thank you so much for these videos. I have a great interest in the Japanese culture and you really brought it to me and helped me to understand it better than anyone else, so thanks again!

  • That's the difference between building a fast train AND building a fast plus train stations where it can pass at full speed.

  • I wish those Africans would train surf on one of these.

  • Imaging jumping in front of that one, instant death :D

  • 10 dislikes would be from china

  • Uahhhh! So cool! :)

    Japan is amazing!

  • ..I like trains?

  • @stephenthecupcake bullet trains have super fast electric moters located almost always right next to the wheel but the same is not true for mag lev's they use magnets (electromagnets to be exact) which pull permanate magnates located under the train chassis the way it works is like keeping a magnet infront of the train but its acually like this imagine the top line is the train and the line under it is the magnates

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=

  • @CountdeAll ah thanks.

  • I think I've got the theory of how this works down, but if I am wrong could someone please correct me, so it is a train that uses superconductors on a rail that ulternates magnetic charge of seperate blocks so that it can be propelled at ridiculous speeds. Please fill in the blanks.

  • Hasn't ANYONE noticed how clean and efficient this is? But If it were in the US they would be scared shitless with bomb-treaths and the 'terrorrists'! This shows how much of a coward America has become. Oh, and I haven't begun to talk about how 'expensive' it would become...

  • @LegendarySayayin Ok, enlighten me.

  • @Stephenthecupcake101 I'm obviously using sarcasm, don't you see?

  • @LegendarySayayin oooooohhhh

  • @Stephenthecupcake101 LOL jk Its only because Japan doesn't have a free democracy.... there is not much 'competition' so the its like a Monoply board inside that country ,(and don't get me started on China ;] ).

  • my place still use the Vintage KTM made by british. i wish the Ultimate Shinkansen will replace it..

  • i want to ride that so bad...

  • Some one answer the FUC**NG TELEPHONE!!!!!

  • Imagine if you were to stand infront of one of these beasts

  • We've sure come a long way since 1931!!! 100 MPH was as big a thing then as 200 MPH is today. Very nice.

  • I want shinkansen to be powering our California HSR. not that chinese piece of crap they proposed!

  • now the 300 series are mainly used for 'kodama' which stops every station.

500 series are retired for it's construction cost and difference of seat capacity.

700 series → mainly for 'hikari' which stops some station.

700N series → mainly for 'nozomi' which stops a few station. (stops only big city such as tokyo, nagoya, osaka etc.)

    >AF 401

  • in soviet russia trains drive you

  • Did KAWASAKI make this BULLET Train?

  • @AdmiralArcher Maybe

  • The 1st 300 series in this video was a Nozomi and the second one was a Hikari

  • what does the ringing you hear in the train station signify?

  • @Daver869 That's a station's alarm to make people be aware for incoming trains and before closing doors for departure.

  • Is this the future?

  • Holy Shit Fuckin cool!!!!!!! America needs bullet trains!!!!

  • Fuck planes! this is the future

  • Max speed about 300Km/h

    Cruising average about 180Km/h

Tokyo through Fukuoka length 1100Km takes 5 hours by fastest train

  • how fast does it go?

  • japan's 8-bit train alarms

  • Smooth and quiet. Japan goes for gold.

  • Lovely design!

  • Lol, I hear tourists... :P

  • incredible machine inside and out.

  • How much is it in US currency to ride this ? Wht's the min and max amount ?

  • It looks a lot more like a plane than a train on the inside

  • Holy heck that's fast! I would LOVE to ride that. XD

  • the train seat are like those seat in air planes.... COOL

  • Obviously those stupid westerners did'nt watch your quiet train rides video. how terrible

  • 0:39 Everybody is minding the white safety line - you don't see that very often in Europe. ^^

  • stupid Indians, stop talking big and learn something from Japan!!!

  • I lived 200yds from the train for a few weeks...i couldnt imagine the living closer and there was a hundred homes between us and the tracks. But I'm really into fast and loud things so this cool

  • @sjaderlund i feel sorry for your hometown

  • thats fast

  • @8191921 in technology maybe, but in relationships they keep pretty much of what it used to be, different from other countries where every girl wants to be one of the ladies from sex on the city.

  • There are moments as you film looking out the train window where it feels similar to a plane taking off the runway. The speed is impressive.

  • @8191921 : actually if I had Godzilla or Gamer tailing me I would stop just to see the carnage! :)

  • My god it's so fast that it may have the engine to change the world!!! :O

  • I always revisit this video for inspiration. People in the United States have to tolerate poor airline service and constant flight delays to travel a far distance. It would be wonderful to have these amazing bullet trains. It takes willpower and proper planning to build a national HSR (high speed rail) network.

  • I wish we'd get off our lazy bums and installs those everywhere here.

  • @8191921 yeah i know right

  • 600 mph train

  • 600 mph train

  • Is the Shinskansen a lot more expensive than the regular train ?

  • @Obitosenpai

    yes

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom

Not if you get a Japan rail pass it's not. You have be a gajin on holiday of course. Apparantly, people who live can't use them.

  • @Obitosenpai i think its about 130$ I THINK... thats what i ve heard anyway

  • @DraSifisGr

Thanks, we also have to pay about 130 € for the ICE-Train in Germany(fastest train)

  • Looks like an airplane from the inside.

  • ueno?

  • Very nice video!!!!!!!! I m rating u from India.

  • 300 Series FTW!

  • It's amazing, how fast they go! Normal train feels so slow, when I did travel with bullet train in Japan. :)

  • wats that beeping an alarm to say the train is stooping

  • @rudorot65

Usually that beeping is the alarm to tell you that the doors of the train are about to shut. Probably from the other side of the platform.

  • BEST VID!!! I love the bullet train!!!

  • wow, flying low.

  • man you gotta check out the newer ones the 700 series the front is designed in a way that looks like a horses head for more aerodynamics and it looks awesome

  • maglev right??

  • u should realyl put a warning label on this video...im not joking it made me a little sick when u were taking video within the train...Warning Flashin lights!..or sumthing like that

  • it's like what it looks like from a plane flying close to ground level. with trains like these, who needs cars :D

  • Was that Shin Yokohama eki? It sure did look like it.

  • Damn... Thats fast.

  • Sigh... If only everywhere were like Japan. Except with just a tiny bit less social pressure to succeed.

  • damn, thats class.

  • Amazing. Ride the train.

  • Its exactly like an aeroplane from the inside

  • lol "there it come... and... there it goes" XD

  • The United States is in the prehistoric stone age when it comes to high speed rail. It simply does not exist. One reason is an antiquated law that requires trains in the U.S. to be built with heavy reinforced steel, as opposed to the airline-style lighter weight material of bullet trains. Secondly, the tracks are inadequate for high speed. Finally, any effort to build high speed rail is opposed by airline companies who want to protect their commuter air revenue.

    Japan has great trains !

  • It's really, we could do it, and we have a bullet train Acela Express). It would be going high speed but because It shares rails and is on the ground and used concrete ties. So many points of the trip, it goes an average 45 mph while being next to a freight or another Amtrak train. But if we build a bridge like that, we would have faster, safer, and easier trips. That 'airline-style material' is most likely aluminum and just cause I'm curious, show me where they're only made of steel...

  • @ santoro2020

I was on the Acela to Boston. Indeed a fast train. So, yes, we can do it, but we have many hurdles and commuter air lobbyists who will run interference with bullet trains. To be successful, bullet trains in the U.S. have to be hubbed with traditional rail transport to allow easier bullet track construction in more open land. The steel I mentioned refers to required steel reinforcements in U.S. trains. People will use bullet trains as safe, speedy, and hassle-free vs. air travel.

  • i can see why its called bullet train xD

  • it's oh.. so quite! i so used to listening to other people's loud conversations on the phone on buses and trains in my country. tired of listening in on their conversations. and it's considered impolite to listen, but you have no choice.

  • I rode the one in taiwan and believe they went around 186mph. I think the Japan ones are faster but don't know the speed. Everyone should experience these trains!

  • sugoooi!!

its like a land airplane LOL

  • I really want to go travelling in Japan again! I've been there for 2 times now 2007 and 2009, and I loved to be there! And the Shinkansen train is one of the best ways get around in Japan, especially if travelling with the JR Pass.

  • buying the 21 day JR Pass for my Japan trip - will be making at least 10 shinkensen trips - sweeeeet.

(only $720AUD at the moment and can be used as many times within the valid dates - but not for Nozomi)

  • That is bloody fast! Your camera was having a hard time focusing out the window hahaha! Oh yeah!! I'm gonna ride the Shinkansen when I go there! :-D

  • Shinkansen is a Legend - all over the world.

  • was this hikari or nozomi?

  • I didn't notice :-D

  • @rioishikawa The Hikari has been retired for a while now. It didn't look like the Nozomi, either. There are several variants on the Shinkansen, many of which are particular to their own specific rail line, like the rail lines that run east to Aomori and such. I don't know if anyone else has beat me to the punch, but there's my answer.

  • It looks so nice!

By the way, how long have you been living in Japan?

  • 3 years

  • ive been on a bullet train before .... they feel exactly like an airplane

  • i thought they put screens sying the speed 400 mph+

  • Thats really fast! I can wait to go there. Also i have to ask something my friend, why do i hear english in the background?

  • Friends were with me.

  • wow thats a fast train. great vids!

  • Wow! Fast! Way faster than the Pendolino trains here, but we're getting similar trains soon - Javelin trains I believe they're to be called.

  • General Motors should be building bullet trains in the US.

  • what!?! that's a really really really fast comfortable train O.O wish we had it here

  • i where there! in tokyo station! i rided that train1 thx so much!

  • thank you, this one brings memories.

  • Another great vid, wish the states would adopt more train transportation.

  • japanese trains looks much comfortable then here ^^

  • The French TGV and the future AGV are much betters, windows are bigger, sit comfortable (not looks like airplane) and it's very silent. The commercial speed between the Shinkansen and the TGV is the same but the AGV will have a commercial speed of 360km/h !

  • Shinkansen of Japan is clearing various problems.

The good in the world in the environment, the noise, and safety.

  • Sinkansen is 16 cars combined,it is very long.

Each Sinkansen arrives at station every 10 or 15 minuts,so people don't have to worry about missing train.

  • I started watching your videos in order to learn a little more on Japan, and your videos have only made me want to visit the country MORE! :) these videos are awesome and even teach me things I never knew before! Thanks for posting these! :) I look for a new video from you almost every day!

  • Thanks!

I am working on new ones every day and post them as soon as they are finished!

  • Well thats awesome! Thanks so much again! :)

  • jesus christ thats fast!!! i dont see the railway children surviving that anyday soon

  • I heard something about Maglev in Japan. Is just a plan or it's already working?

  • Build in 1969.

    Testing troughout the 80's.

    So, yep they have maglev's.

    =]

  • either youre looking at a miniature landscape or this thing moves really fast...

  • Wow! Rly fast!

  • lol it's shinkansen, the train with it's own theme song

  • hey! i've been there before!! i also rode the bullet train. It was hella fast!!

is the video you took is at nagoya?

  • Do you have to be polite and not speak on those trains aswell?

  • Love bullet trains. If I remember aren't they the fastest trains in the world?

  • No, the Maglev in Shanghai, China is the fastest. I took it from the airport to downtown Shanghai and it was amazing, felt like flying.

  • Maglev in Shanhai is German Engeneering.

  • Oh, no I'm wrong, there's a Maglev in Japan that is the fastest.

  • One of the many things I miss about Japan. My gf and I were on our way to Kyoto from Shinagawa. We took an early train out and were trying to sleep. But I couldn't because I was scared out of my seat when when another bullet train was traveling the other direction. I have never seen anything travel so fast. :)

  • It would be nice to have a bullet train in the states .

  • they are planning a bullet train system in california

  • The inside of that train really does remind me of the inside of a plane and it's quite fast. I see someone else asked the question already, but how how much does one of those tickets cost in US dollars? You can post it in yen if you'd like and I can just convert it on my own. =)

    -Billy-

  • that is fast!

  • Damn. That thing is like a plane! Also, how much is a one way ticket in US dollars? How fast does it go?

  • people speaking english were with you? lol

  • that was wonderful...where was that you were showing on the window? looked unlike a city with those large glass lands.

  • Is it more expensive to ride the Shikansen than a regular train?

  • reymland:

Yes, but not by much for the distance you get and the time you save.

If you make a travel, say from Tokyo to Osaka, only reason to use regular train would be because you like the slow traveling, not for the cheaper ticket.

  • iv been on very fast trains in the uk, but this looks like amazingly fast lol :O so dizzy after watching this lol

  • FUUUUU you didn't turn the tray lock perpendicular! sweet train though.

  • airplane train

  • awesome vid/train xD!

  • Awesome! It does look like an airplane from the inside!

  • iam going on that soon!

  • its very quiet and smooth, nearly looks like your in an aeroplane lol

  • I love it how you took a video on the train so we could see how a bit of Japan loks like. I ust say it looks very Beautiful!!

  • haha Did you know the english speaking people in the background?

  • Yes, my family are visiting for a week :-)

  • Aww That's nice. I hope they enjoy it!

  • They are digging it :-)

We are going to the ninja house now :-)

  • TheJapanChannelDcom:

Worst part of living in the foreign country is all your friends and family coming to you and expect you to be a free tour guide and provide them free stay.

  • Awesome train

  • awesome =)

  • LOL that BG sound, i keep hearing some english people talking.... and that kid too

soo hows the bullet train trip?

  • That's one bad ass train!!!

  • 早い. o_O

  • that seems really fast. ive rode the TGV in France but the speed seemed so much fast here.

  • SO DO I! =) Yeah, keep up the awesome vids!
