You probably don't know that much about airplanes then. The chances of the airplane shreddng up a little on a water landing when it's not a seaplane is pretty great, UNLESS it's an amazing landing. Not to mention if you are going in on approach and go in TOO slow, you will stall the aircraft and be screwed too at least for awhle

I saw this at home all over the news. NY1, CNN, RNN, MSNBC, Channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, etc. I was surprised to see all of this. I was crazy worried that no one would survive that flight. Thank God that everyone survived. I know it must have been a horrible ordeal for everyone in that plane to stare death in the face. Again, thank God that everyone survived.

This pilot needs to be given a CEO's worthy bonus for landing this craft in a manor to keep it from braking apart. These are the heros we all strive to be. To those who responded should praised as well. With the temperatures as low as they were, this could have been a horrible tragedy.

What an amazing passenger; more amazing were the flying skills of the pilots on this aircraft. Had it not landed this way (belly) it probably would have broken up in at least 2 pieces. More people would have been seriously hurt, and possibly killed. 2 thumbs up to a great flight crew!
