Hammer ons in GH1 do suck but they are possible - you just have to time it exaaaaaactly right. Frustrating as hell because so many of the expert/hard songs REQUIRE it.

When you lay GH1 enough, then you can tell when to hammer on just by the separation between the colored notes coming toward you. Thi is the most exciting song of any GH games, right before Godzilla and Bark at The Moon!

the funny thing about Guitar Hero... actally knowing how to play the guitar can put you at a bizarre backward disadvantage. There are so many things that you can do when you have 6 strings that you just can't do with only one little clicker.

dude, it's still a hard freakin' song. There's only about three or four living guitarists who can play the solo "correctly". Coincidentally, three of them are the guitar grads of the Yardbirds (clapton himself, jeff beck, and jimmy page), and Alex Lifeson of Rush does a pretty nice job.
