That's the RG3EX1 right? I have one of those, plays wonderfully, sounds pretty decent, need to switch out the pickups, any suggestions? Oh cool song btw
@AlucardXIX Yea it is, I saw the finish better in another video and it confirmed it. I want new pick ups in mine bad, and maybe different tuners. Got any recs on pick-ups? (that I wouldn't have to route the guitar to put in)
@AlucardXIX you dont need to route anything, nor have i ever heard of needing to route anything to put actives in. I have an rg5ex1 and they dropped in perfectly... unless you mean routing for the battery?
@kfkslayerkfk Yea...Unless you have space with the electronics. I know you also need a different input jack for them(which most active pickups come with anyways)
@greendayaremyheros Wait until you hear the new version! Going to be re-recording this for an album (got about 8-11 songs or so, depending on how I feel about a few). I'll post an mp3 on here, I'm going to re-do this song first! (It will be instrumental still though...)
hey bud.... i am soo impressed by your shit... like i thought your covers were good... your songs are like 1235234 times better hahaha.... do you think (if i get the chance on a computer that has a mic) that i can put vox on it?? just for fun??
@AlucardXIX no, i hate thooose lyrics too, i have variety, recently i have been writing about how people made the earth so fucked up and we could change it but people are to stuck up on themselves that they will never be good enough for earths true beauty, but they are sort of gay, so i can write anything based off of what your message is behind this song :^D
sick. sick. sick. i can't believe how similar our styles are hahahaha... how is the randall btw? a friend of mine had one a while back until he switched all his gear for orange (jealous) i'm more of a mesa guy myself though but i've been using this behringer vampire lx1200h head with just a behringer cab for maybe a year so far and has a pretty decent sound, more than enough for playing small gigs.
@peccavimus I love my Randall cab. I'm just using a POD X3 Live to do all my distortion and such. I'd love to post more originals, if my POD would just work with my computer again...
before anything, i been checkin ur covers out pretty much all afternoon and wow man, ur a beast at guitar O:.
well yeah back to the main subject, yoo i been thinkin bout uploading some of my stuff up on youtube but idk like, how do i know people wont take my shit and like claim it as theirs?
yeah i'd love to hear an answer to my question and wow man keep it up
I've actually had that happen. Luckily it's harder on youtube. I had someone steal an mp3 off of my soundclick and claim it was their own, but the guy he asked to put vocals over it caught on.
There really isnt any way, but like I said, it's better on youtube because as long as you have the original upload I dont think people will do much about it.
awesome song! very psycroptic and origin sounding, which is a good thing. how did you make the drums to this? did you first play it with a click track and add the drums after that or what? i'll give you 5* :)
Psycroptic was definitely the influence for this song, 100%! haha.
Well I write all my music in guitar pro, I just tab out my guitar parts and then write drums behind it that I think fit it. Then I export a midi file of the drum track and import it to Sonar 7 and route Addictive Drums (my sample program) to play the midi!
Addictive Drums. Like any drum program you need to mess around with it before you get the sound you want. It took me a bit but I've got (what I think) is an awesome sound out of it)
Haha. I wrote the most ridiculous shit I could for it. A lot of ridiculous 32nd note stuff on it. Addictive Drums doesnt like to retain it's snare sound at those speeds.
Well I'm thinking of doing one of my 7 string pieces next. Not really super technical but it has some really cool stuff. I might try and do a double video because there are a lot of harmonies in it (and some are really hard to hear because they mesh together so well)
Yea I've been listening to him for yeeeears now. Talked with him online before and met him on Thrash and Burn, he's cool as hell. I almost did a collaboration with him once. Hoping my band will be able to open for Periphery next time they come here (once I get my band going haha)
yeah I've found out about him only a few months back, and been putting most of my attention in his stuff, I got amazed.. And you're a lucky cat for having talked to him, AND going to thrash and burn, we don't have that kind of stuff in here.. never will =\.. You should definitely do a colab with him - he has a bunch of side projects, I think he'll be glad. And I wish your band a lot of luck in the future dude, opening for periphery is a blast =S
